Where will we finish?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We should never run a poll like this at the weekend cos it is obvious that there are way too many drunks on the forum then

Stokeygooner, I am interested to know when you think is an ok time to turn on wenger seeing as you say that it is too soon now. years since a very luck cup win and a team that contained players of the class of DB10, PV4, pires and henry (I know he missed the final) have been replaced by players like song, eboue, bedtner and denilson so now we are not alone not winning trophies but our quality of players has gone through the fcuking basement :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
I am pissed and I'm trying to watch the boxing but will try to answer your question.

It has been 4 soon to be 5 years since we won the league. Granted

However in that time we have reached the European cup final (which we should have won). We've never been there before.

We should have won the league last year but were unlucky with injuries (say what you want about squad depth but the players we had injured - and the manner Eduardo got injured makes a big difference).

In the last 4 years we have on our day produced football that is the envy of Europe.

We've moved stadium which is bound to have an effect.

Foreign billionaires...

I pay for half a season ticket every year, and as far as value for money goes i'm delighted. I don't buy one on the condition we win something and nor should anyone else!

Wenger gets given a hard time for not buying in the summer but his number two when it comes to transfers has only just been replaced (David Dein) and he has effectively been trying to do two jobs at once(the board has to take responsibility for that - although I don't blame them for thinking he could do it!)

Every club in the world would snap Wenger up before you could say 'Eboue'. We should count ourselves lucky he's chosen to be loyal to the Arsenal.

Lastly he is a Gooner.

Never write a Gooner off.
brilliant post, well said stokey

What would be the probability based upon where we are at, our resources (playing or financial) and that of the oppostion? Taking these factors into account, a statistician would not rate our chance very highly.

But, feel free to send a raging pm in May when we simultaneously lift the Title and European Cup :D

I'm just not writing us off yet, it's been a funny old season so far!

It wouldn't be raging (it would be incoherent)

Those guys who have us as winning the league need to get real. In order to match Manure's 87 points last season we would need to win 18 of our 21 remaining games, and draw the other 3. Of course we could lose another two if we won 19 from 21. :?

I voted lower than 6th. As said in another thread, we'll be relegated then win the European Cup.
