Where will we finish?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Where will we finish?

Post by Chippy »

Realistically I am not sure we will finish in the top 4. We have the mousers next Sunday and away to Villa on Boxing day. Villa are on form and Hull are doing well despite what Karel thinks. Luckily below that everyone is taking points from everyone else.

Where do you think we will finish?

4th.

I still think we'll have enough to see off Villa, but at the same time, it wouldn't be the biggest shock in the World if Villa did finish above us.

Below that, I don't think Everton, Pompey or Hull can realistically challenge, and any transfers made by Citeh and Sp*rs will probably be too little too late.

That said, I can't really see us finishing above Chelsea, ManUre or Liverpool, either...

so it's a straight battle for 4th with Villa, for me.

FA Cup and Champions league double.

And I would be back on here to rub it in to those 'Wenger out' plonkers.

It'd be nice, but it simply isn't going to happen.

I always said we would finish 4th because the rest of the premiership was poor. That was before i saw how this bunch of gutless, spinless overpaid underachievers have performed this season.Lucky to finish 4th

it will be hard to stomach if we don't get CL football - because we are so use to playing with Europes Elite

but they way are playing at the moment - we don't deserve to finish 4th - Villa man for man are better than us and i fear that we might finished 5th or 6th

I don't fear man city this season they have real problems, and even January won't sort them out for this season - but have to be weary of Aston Villa and Everton

Why are we plonkers?

We have every right to question a man who has failed to bring us anything since a very lucky cup final win in 2005 and who has replaced world class players with mediocre at best and dross at worst!

At least our eyes are open to the sceanrio we are in and not blinded by misty eyed memories of the past.

Because it's far too soon to turn on Wenger. This season has been shit so far but how close to winning the league last year were we?

Stokey, what we're saying is that he hasn't built on last year. He's let 4 top players go and believes that Song, Denilson, Diaby, Eboue, Bendtner etc are adequate replacements when clearly they are not.
Today I felt like I was watching a team that is probably going to finish 5th or 6th. Next week? Bet we win 2-0. Villa? Prob lose 3-1 blah blah blah and on it will go until the manager accepts that he needs to act.
If we do the cup double I will personally come and buy you a bottle of your favourite tipple. Would love it, really love it but....
