I wanna go to Rome BUT.......

I know  I'll be trying like crazy to get a lower tier ticket for this one!

I can undertsand why it's category A, though... while we're on the subject, West Ham should NOT, in my opinion, be a category A game!

Milan is a nice city.

Cities of similar size in Britain (Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester?) don't come close! only my opinion though.

I agree that Italy has some far nicer places though.. Southern Italy is great, the Italian Alps are spectacular, and Rome has more history than you can shake a stick at (expensive though :? )

It's just a great country.. and then there's the Italian food and wine! 8)[/quote]

Totally agree. Been to Rome many times on business. My favourite city.

My first time in Milan was this Summer, on the way to Lake Como. I have never seen so many beautiful women in one place, in such a short time. Sod the rest of the scenery. Those women were fanbloodytastic.

Italian people, in general, are exceptionally nice. The youngsters are a breath of fresh air. No hoodies. No bad gangsta attitude. I wouldn't mind living there.

I think the OB in Milan only seemed to be checking passports if they were offered.... And I don't remember seeing anyone being turned away from the turnstiles.

I recall as well that a lot of away game regulars dipped out of Milan for a variety of reasons - not least that they'd been to the San Siro not that many years back. I think for that reason Roma might be a more popular trip so there might not be quite as many tickets going around. On the other hand, Rome does have a bit more of a reputation that Milan so that might put some off.

I can't go (although we'll be back in May anyway  !) but having been to Rome many times, I have to say that it's my fav city from a tourist viewpoint. You really could spend a week there and not see everything, so be sure to book at least a night in the city and have a great trip!!
