omg smoothy you really are the clubs pr man today
quick point, arshavin has 14 goals in 40 internationals, he has scored against germany, netherlands sweden etc etc etc ,
so you would prefer to keep the likes of eboue wouldnt you
you can never have enough quality, man u and chelsea have proved that by winning trophies that we have not over the last few seasons, you do remember we are a football club who DO want to win trophies now dont you

Imo, its very difficult to truly know if a player will fit in the squad. From what little I know of him I think it would be worth a shot at getting Arshavin. Lets face it he cant be any worse than what we've got can he?? But I don't want us to pay over the odds for him.
The trouble is, everyone can see we are desperate and that can so easily inflate prices. Craig Bellamy £12million anyone?

What makes you think if AW had Arshavin he wouldn't still play the flying wingers you mentioned out wideREBEL GOONER wrote:for those that dont want him i ask one question,
eboue diaby or denilson on the wing or a proven scoring international in arshavin

If you look at last season how many times did he play an ineffective Eboue rather than Theo, countless times, i assumed there was method in his madness but this season he has proved to me there isn't any method or logic in those types of decisions, i'm past trying to understand what AW does or why.

Arshavin wouldn't be my choice for a new signing but it has come to the point now that i would just like him to sign anyone of quality just to show we have some ambition and that he is actually listening to the fans and not just carrying on his own little experiment that isn't working regardless of the consequences.

rather worry about players in this order 1st and still I think we can do better than himREBEL GOONER wrote:yeah i agree with calo, why would we need a proven international winger who can beat players and gets goals when we have eboue and diaby out on the wingCalo wrote:not good enough![]()

a) Goalie
b) Def Mid
c) Centre half
then winger
i would NEVER play eboue or diaby left wingREBEL GOONER wrote:calo, i agree with your list and a dm ,gk and ch should be our main concern, my point is you can not have enough quality and i would much rather we signed arshavin then have to look at the arsenal line up and see diaby or eboue playing on the wing
we have ramsey, simpson, vela, whilshire, merida even rvp all whom is more sensible
square pegs in round hole wenger im going to start calling him

yes i agree my smotthy mr wenger really has let the team go in now almost every single positionTheOne2Smooth wrote:I actually think we need a winger more than any posistion you may not agree but with Eboue Diaby and even Denilson playing on the wing surely we need a winger than a centre midfielder
when I think back to the invicibles now he have the imbelcious instead

Russia hotshot Andrei Arshavin will be an Arsenal player in the coming days, according to his agent Dennis Lachter.
Italian daily TuttoSport says 27-year-old Arshavin will sign a 5-year deal with Zenit pocketing £18m from the transfer fee.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who is a known admirer of the highly-rated star, beat off competition from Premier League rivals Tottenham and Liverpool.

“Andrei is rated by Wenger who wanted him to sign [for Arsenal] last summer. This transfer would please everyone but we must wait a few days for confirmation.â€
