Walcott out for season - report

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He's had three notable injuries since he came to Arsenal.

Dislocated his shoulder twice due to a hereditary condition (which has been sorted), and tweaked his knee this morning.

Hardly something to sack him over.....
Agreed, he hasnt trained for 3 months so he is bound to be a little on the delicate side.

Radford thinks you must be fucking joking. the boy's a lightweight. Radford does not think he's that great a loss. Radford says he can't fucking control the ball anyway

g88ner wonders if Radford realises that Eboue is likely to fill in, instead. :?

Not a big loss?? I think we'll really miss Theo's pace!

I hope its a ploy to get him out of the England squad and thats it. We REALLY need him if we are to win anything.

As I said, IF it's true before anyone gets their knickers in a knot...

Totally with you on that one DB - for far too long we have carried too many lightweight and injury prone players and have been paying them top dollar as well so it is time to get rid of them all and maybe lighten our financial situation while we are at it.
This is not a knee jerk reaction to an as yet unconfirmed story cos I have been advocating this course of action for some time and if theo falls into this bracket it will be sad but so be it cos with a squad as small as ours we simply cannot afford to carry permanently injured players :(

We get rid of theo we will be in a LOT of trouble.......hes young...he will toughen up

Looking at the quotes attributed to wenger on this subject and it does suggest that theo wont be out for the season as the times reckoned which is of course good news 8) Problem is, if recent history is anything to go by, then we couldnt feel any great level of confidence regardless of what diagnosis our medical team come up with  :( :( :(

To sell Walcott now would be madness, when he finally start looking liek he can develop into a very good player for us. However, Wenger shouldn't rely on him to play. We know certain players are gonna spend a lot of time being injured.´These players should just be seen as a bonus when they're fit.....

He will recover in time to save our season, if he doesn't then we should drown him in piss extracted from the urinals at the Grove 8)

Well Radford must be fucking blind 8) if he cannot see the difference between when Theo's in the side and when he's not

fact is he has shown he can score goals if not marked out of the game and therefore usually ties up two oppo players and his pace frightens the life out of defences giving our midfield more space!

As far as the shoulder injury, the surgeon who done the operation has done loads of Rugby players with the same injury and after the op not one has ever popped out again, even with the abuse it takes playing League or Union, so hopefully that puts that to bed!

Theo's pace makes a big difference to the team. This Radford you speak of R149 seems to be blind, have a word will you?
