Yeah, not a lot of players seem to want to go there. Or anywhere in the premiership - not been many "big" premiership signings so far this season, even with City's and Chelski's money.

no matter what manager we have now they wont pay 20m for a player. its not just wenger so stop trying to shift the blame on him. the funds simply arent there to take such a big risk in spending 30m (which is the price which real madrid have paid for him) on just ONE player.

The guy is not worth 30 million plus and, unlike with the Kaka and Ronaldo deals, Real Madrid are taking a big risk on someone who has yet to prove he is the genuine article. :lol: :wink:

As I have said many times, the board are to blame for the financial side of things and their true colours were shown last season. 30mill for a player in August and no money in Jan. The Arshavin deal alone should speak volumes, the board bargained away and almost lost him. :roll:

The other day there was a story doing that rounds that benzema didnt want to go to real to be just a bit part player in the circus especially in a world cup season and I respected him for that. Now just a few short days later it appears that he is as big a mercenary as the rest of them and is following the money to madrid - I know that I shouldnt be surprised but yet I am :oops:

Right now I cannot understand why any striker or attacking midfielder would join real madrid :? Defenders joining them I can understand but that have sooo many attack minded players right now that it is going to be impossible to fit them all in and lets face it no matter who is manager there raul is always going to start :roll:
