As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Dida (Dodo would be more appropiate)when he was a child was attacked by a ferocious butterfly,so you can understand his reaction to what i would call an affectionate pat on the cheek.
FIFA gave instructions to ref's to clamp down on acting, surely they must give Dida at least a 2 match ban.
Life seems harsh, a long ban yes as what he did was stupid and put the club in danger of being stripped of points (if that does happen, he will have to be moved out of Scotland for his own protection. Maybe if games behind closed doors as well), no excuses, you can't run onto the pitch and he should know better but Celtic are looking to protect themselves. Their security failed utterly, how the Donald Duck was he able to run onto the pitch, to the goal, tap/slap/annoy the keeper then get back into the crowd? Thankfully the fan meant no harm but I suspect that will work against Celtic when Uefa decide how to respond. I do hope however Celtic are only fined but I suspect they will at least be hit with game behind doors.
As for Dida, I would love to know why he did it as I would the Celtic fan and he should be hauled up before Uefa to explain himself, any punishment based on the case.
CHEERS ALL ARSENAL 1886. TO BE FAIR TO JENS, AT LEAST HE BOUNCED BACK UP AGAIN AND DIDN'T HAVE TO BE STRETCHERED OFF, UNLIKE THAT PONCE DIDA!!
GUNNERS-NEED-STEEL,
YOU KNOW AS WELL AS I DO THAT YOU ONLY HAVE TO GO WITHIN FARTING DISTANCE OF JENS TO GET A REACTION FROM HIM!! HIS ANTICS HAVE FAMOUSLY COST US IN THE PAST AND I, FOR ONE, AM HAPPY HE IS NO LONGER IN THE SIDE. WHETHER ALMUNIA IS GOOD ENOUGH IS ANOTHER DISCUSSION BUT AT LEAST HE DOESN'T ACT LIKE A BIG BABY WHENEVER CHALLENGED.
