Not entirely sure Wenger got it right yes we won but we were outplayed for big periods of the game and Messi had chances to get a hatrick whichon another day might have happened and then Wenger would have looked like a mug. The thing is we won and that all that matters but i think it was due RVP's shot/goal and the 5 minutes of momentum and pressure afterwards

Yeh I agree with flash on that.
I think we played very well just to cope with Barca. Also the Song yellow card played a big part, I don’t think song would of come off otherwise.
As I said on another thread , I spoke to some Barca fans. They said that the last 25mins they couldn’t cope with how fast we were and they were not used to that at all. Basically we played them at there own game and did it better for 25 minutes. Though we took our chances!!!!

It would have been practically impossible to stop them retaining the ball for long periods & getting into threatening positions, anyone who knows about football should have known that. Wenger himself said in his programme notes that they were resigned to the fact that Barca would have large chunks of the possession.
What was crucial was that when we did have the ball we used it really well; quick, precise & direct. We got ourselves into the positions to have scored more than twice but we know how profligate we can be in front of goal.
Coupled with a very impressive performance at the back & in goal, I thought overall we were excellent & don't think we're getting the credit we deserve from the media. Because Barca had more possession they seem convinced that we were dominated & were fortunate to win. Not the case at all.
