I think some of it comes down to personality type. Particularly with regard to the older AKB people. Some of these people cannot bear to be criticised or publicly slated and this can carry over into association. They associate themselves with all things Arsenal. If you slag off Arsenal they take it far too personal. We’ve all known the kid back in school that would get upset if someone slated his team.

Add to this that Wenger has brought Arsenal much respect within the media and amongst neutral supporters. We are no longer boring Arsenal – we have been known as the best purveyors of quality football for over a decade now. Subconsciously I think this validates these people’s choice of Arsenal and their years of loyalty. By association they feel respected and bask in its warm glow. They fear this being taken away. They fear an Arsenal that is again hated and disrespected by the media and neutral fans.

As for the younger AKB’s? Alot of them have only known the success under Wenger. They are now upset and horrified and disbelieving of the current lack of trophies. They are motivated by a combination of loyalty to the man and fear of the unknown when he is gone.
Of course this is just my personal opinion and it doesn’t apply to every AKB-type fan but I think it does apply to a good number of them.

The old man was sticking up for me. The young lad kicked off with me first. Then it all went mental!

It has happend a few times this season. Not nice to watch or be a part of

So you needed a pensioner to jump in for you against a junior gunner

You are right tho. Its a sorry state of play when our own fans are fighting with each other over that deluded flapping turkey.

I think it was a mis-print of block 5 (not 55) as block 5/6 are the same. It was said that it was in the norithbank and I'm sure there is no 55 anyway

55 is Club Level. Maybe Iceman was kicking up a fuss as the Edamame beans weren't cooked to his liking?

Maybe it was CL as general ST renewal ain't due yet I saw on another thread CL renews closed last week.

Having just reread this it comes across as a bit preachy and statement of fact-like.
