As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Terrible, terrible news mate. I never knew Steve outside of this forum but he was a great poster & seemed like a top bloke. I do however, know that cancer is an absolute bastard, and when it strikes a fellow Gooner it affects us all as if it were a family member.
My thoughts are with yourself & Percy as well as all of Steve's family & friends who have been affected. Stay strong...
This is horrible news and I can only hope he is as comfortable as possible in this difficult time.
If it is any use at all I send my best wishes and prayers.
I met charlie x 2 after the last v mackem fans when percy arranged to meet him with him in The Gunners. He seemed like a good lad and was up for the bit of craic with the lads - my thoughts and prayers go to his family, to percy and all his friends and mostly to steve himself
i just wish i could have said goodbye in person, i held his hand tonight and said as much but i know he couldnt hear me, im taking my arsenal scarf tomorrow to put in the room with him
Fucking hell. Very sad indeed. Im not anywhere near as close to him as You, Percy and Wayno are but a he's a top man and a good laugh the few times I do meet him. I know you will do but please keep us updates One More Minute

That will be a nice touch Scott. He loves The Arsenall and maybe that scarf can be from everyone that knew him from both here and going to he games.

Vicki is in tears and I am simply numb!
Praying for a miracle.
we all are Steve, i will put that on his bed from all of us gooners and pray for the best
Not a regular poster here but I've been reading this forum for quite some time.
Had to login to say this is terrible news, about a month ago my dad was diagnosed with cancer, my whole world turned upside down. He underwent a surgey that was planned to be 10 hours long but thankfully only took 6. The important thing is I never gave up hope or prayer in this time of need. It was heartbreaking seeing him laying down on the bed with his face unrecognisable from all the bruising and swelling from where they cut into his face/skull. Miraculously my dad is in full recovery right now and is doing so well that even the chemotherapy that was planned was scrapped and he is to undergo only radiotherapy for precaution.
Like I said, I'm not a regular poster here nor did I know Charlie, but Im wishing him a full recovery, you should stay strong and never give up hopes and prayers, I'm a medical student and I've seen some miraculous turn arounds. My heart goes out to my fellow gooners.
