Newcastle Footy thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

On the plus side if we think we're in a state Newcastle are far worse, they have sold their captain Kevin Nolan, Joey Barton and Enrique are also both on their way most likely. Barton and Nolan were instrumental in getting them back to 4-4 last year so hopefully we are still good enough to get the three points

Is anyone travelling from the midlands or at least passing near to Leamington Spa/Warwick??

I cant get to/from the match on saturday so would be great if i could travel with someone as there are no coaches or trains that the times are suitable for the match.

Please let me know asap

Thanks, Matt

Agree. We may not be in the best place right now, but they are worse off. What we have, even without the signings we all want, is still more than enough to see off Newcastle.

It has to be 3 points on Saturday. It's vital for the confidence of the whole club I think especially leading on to the big games we have the rest of this month.

Time to start talking about football again :barscarf:

I think we are going to see a weak Arsenal team - minus the likes of Jack and Kos (but on the plus side, Walcott is injured :-P )- but we should still have enough to get past Newcastle who themselves are in no great shape - Demba Ba will be a threat mind.

A win by 2 goals im going for, with massive tests to come in the next weeks, we need the players we have fit, and some new faces as currently, we have the weakest squad we have had for a good few years.

Still, football is back :barscarf:

SSN - neither Cesc or Nas are in the squad for Newcastle. Excellent news!

Wilshere is also out.

The really good news is that Wenger thinks Diaby will be out until late September! :barscarf: :barscarf:

Has anyone thought about what team we will play or is anyone bothered lol

i imagine he will go with Arshavin through the middle in the cesc role so we may see

Schezzer
Sagna, Verm, Kos, Gibbs
Song, Ramsey, Arshavin
Gerv, RVP, Theo

that should be enough to beat them and secure three points

sorry we will get fuck all out of this, we are a shambles of a club at the moment, think how the players feel and it wont change until the mad professor packs his bags.
average goalie, uncoached defence and a bunch of tippy tappy midfielders with one decent striker equals zero points

Or another song......

We've got no quality
Just Diaby and Eboue
We've got no quality
only Bendtner and Rosicky.........
