Still hate Willie Young for all sorts of reasons.
I was at all three, magic day for the manc one from start to finish, one of those days you knew you were destined to win, apart from a few short seconds after the vermin equalised  Had tickets in the Ipswich end in 78, probaly as many gooners in there as them so not too bad, apart from the dismal display from the team and result of course :? wham one the worst for me, especially coming from Essex :( the only highlight for me was Willy's foul on Allen. You really have to live with the fuckers to know what I mean here but trust me. Respect to big Willy, he won us over from the worst possible start and you can't get better than that

Denilson was a let down, and Toure was off form. I also thought Clichy had one of his poorer games. And Eduardo did nothing when he came on - and this after a good performance for Croatia.

There was a lack of urgency. They'll do better but it was another of those games, like the Reading game, where we plugged away until we got what we needed. I like the fact that we're scoring plenty of late goals this season, long may it continue.
I have to disagree. Clichy was sublime out there. He showed so much passion, skill and drive. shame his team mates looked rusty and a little slack but hopefully that will beat the cobwebs out. I'l see you guys in Sevilla :)

The attitude of some fans on this website is deeply fcuking irratating at the moment - why are some fans not allowed to express any negative feelings or concerns ? Yes some "fans" have totally unrealistic expectations if they expect us to steamroll a team like wigan but that should not prohibit fans from expressing negatives from a performance. We had 6 key players missing ?? Who the fcuk are they ? Poor bert has hardly played this season, diaby is not a regular by any standards and as well as flamini has played this season you can hardly call him a key player can you ? Cesc, van persie & hleb can claim to be key players for us this season and of course their loss would be felt but all summer long myself & a select few on here raised concerns over the depth of our squad which is a real issue here.

Lately we have been receiving plaudits left right & centre it has been due to the fact that we are an all round team and not depending on 1 man(henry) but what many of us are worried about now is after saturdays game it appears that we cannot do without cesc. Predicting a tough run ahead or expressing concerns about players performances should not be met with the type of reaction seen on this forum lately and fans should not be mocked for expressing this opinion cos like me many of them know from bitter experience how quick things can turn at our beloved club. Things are going brilliantly at the moment, certainly much better then I thought they would, but there are still nearly 6 months left in this season people and a lot can happen in that time so get carried away at your peril. Anyway as I said before, if you only want to read comments of positivity then check out Arsenal.com or the official match programme as they should be right up your street

Well said Augie

It drives me mad that when ever someone says any thing negative they are called fickle fans. The result was great on saturday but the performance was poor.I can only remember Pollitt making two saves.I will praise the Gooners to the hilt when we play well. But i have the right to have a go when we play bad.
Also what does Eboue offer to the team. When ever he is taken off we play much better and Sagna can get more forward

I'm a bit miffed about Eboue too - bags of pace but a bit headless? No doubt people will say he needs time to adjust to his new role, but we may not have time for him to do that.

i feel eboue is slowly turning into the worse arsenal player of at least the last decade,,
and while i do not like slagging off any arsenal player it is everyone's right to do so,,
with diarra its unfair to compare with pv4 as they are two different type of player and pv4 was a one off for us as we never had a midfielder like him before,,
i rate diarra highly as ive said on previous posts and hope in time he will put his own stamp on the team,, i know a few will disagree but flamini is only a stopgap and bert is on the way out ,, so diarra is more then likely cesc's partner in the middle,,

one more game, villa and then a really tough month ahead so lets be a bit positive and hope, pray, wish for the best and lets hope that our weak spots dont let us down to much

ps,, we still need a new keeper

I agree, flamini has been great but I don't see him other than cover long term - if he has ambition ( and im sure he has) it may seem him moving on. Shame though but as a previous thread said - somethings gotta give.

it wasnt a good game, but at least this season we are able to grind out a result...3 points is 3 points....we would have drawn that game last season

This forum can be ridiculously downbeat and fickle so I have the right to say so if that is my opinion. I know I am not as regular a poster as some of you lot, and also know that you tend to stick together if someone dares criticise a cyber mate, but hey ho.

As for arsenal.com or the matchday programme, dont make me laugh. If I was going to to air my views on another website it would be on the herd website, or something similar, where it is ok to still call a ****, a ****, for example...

I have said before that the positive vibes have to start from the team and generate onto the players. It can definitely have an effect. Therefore, I cant help but think that this type of negative fan is the one who starts groaning if we are drawing whilst staying true to our philosophy of football.

one of our worst performances this season

I'd say our worst three are:
1- Sl Prague away 0-0
2- Wigan home 2-0 and
3- manure home 2-2

so in our worst three performances we have
1- qualified for the knock out stages of the CL as early as mathmatically possible
2- gone three points and a game in hand clear at the top of the league improving our GD by 3 against manure
3- stayed top of the league and deprived manure of 2 vital points

bad performances but good results
and vital players missing for all 3 games
1- fabregas, hleb, toure, RVP
2- fab,hleb, RVP
3- RVP (probably a tactical failing as much as a personnel one)

without hleb and fabregas we struglle to cre8
without RVP we are not as clinical
any team misses it's best players

I thought Diarra did well - good break and sustained posession from him contributed a lot2 the first goal
be interesting to see Traore, who I'm a big fan of, replace clichy 2moro
and I'm sick as a dog - missing seville trip
hope I can claim on travel insurance its non-transferable
