Arsene's HT teamtalks and decisions from the bench...

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Arsene's biggest problem is that he can't adjust his management style to get the best results out of morons like the ones playing for us these days.
The morons that he brought to the club.
Exactly 8)

In his defence, you just never know how a player will really turn out. Like I said in another thread, he got lucky with Viera, Henry etc, enough signings turned out good at the same time and it worked.

Arsene has had his fair share of flops eg Jeffers, Reyes and more recently Chamakh (who I honestly still believe deep deep deep down is a decent player)

If we are honest with ourselves how many people would have classified RVP a big success 2 years ago? A bit of luck with injuries, a few goals and suddenly you have a completely different player.

Management is a hit and miss game. Hopefully you hit more then you miss otherwise you are out of the job

I'm sorry to say but I disagree with the majority of that.

It would be a boring forum if you agreed:lol:

I do think Arsene has been missing for a long time. Most annoying for me anyway is his persistence with players who are clearly under performing...

Lucky for us, with all the sins Arsene has committed, we have remained one of the best for English clubs.

Board doesn't pressurize Wenger > Wenger doesn't pressurize players.

The club is rotten from top to bottom.

We've gotten by due to the form of RvP. If not for him we'd be in the relegation zone and if you think I'm talking bollox just check the goalscorers stat in the other thread.

good post, and the one before this was even better.

and i think it's important that people don't forget that, while he royally fucked the chance we had of becoming THE english club in the middle of last decade, he also hasn't pulled a leeds on us. at least yet.

now we're a decent team (no more a top class team) that has the potential to finish somewhere between 3rd and 6th. considering that two clubs have unlimited spending power, that's not too bad. but again, we were the best team and he himself found a way of destroying it.

anyway, i like to think that the day he fucks off the following manager will have a great club with lots of money to spend on players.

that is, if the reason we're not spending really is the manager...
