Lap of Honour

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I more or less feel the same. Although I did go to the Villa game last year, I decided a little while back that I actually didn't want to go to the Norwich match this season. In fact, I can't remember a season where I've watched Arsenal less -either in person or on tv - than I have this season. Worse than that, my lifelong obsession with and enthusiasm for both Arsenal and football is at an all-time low.

A bit of advice.....when joking or being sarcastic put the winking emoticon at the end of your statement 8)
I am assuming that you are indeed joking right ?? I mean after watching the debacles against manure away, blackburn away, qpr away, fulham away, wigan home, wolves home etc etc you couldnt have been serious about the players we have doing well ? Rvp has by and large carried this team this season with some assistance from chesney and kos - all the others have either been out injured for long spells or have been well shit

I am over for the game on saturday and I will be very interested to see how many wait around at the end and what type of reaction they give the players and wenger :rubchin:
I'm not joking i honestly think the squad we've got has over achieved...its wengers fault that it has come to this but the payers have done what their capable of, so its not really their fault, what do you expect off players bought for a few million quid or so nowdays? to finish ahead of city and utd? come off it man...

Ok I get what you are saying but what I expect is to see 100% effort, commitment and passion from my team every single fcuking game - yes it is normal for a player to have an off day or two during the season but as a team we should never have to endure the apathy and lax attitude we have witnessed against teams like blackburn, fulham, wolves, wigan etc this season and it is totally un-fcuking-acceptable

I also understand where you and some others are coming from when you say that finishing above the two rich clubs from mancland is not a realistic target but the thing is, if we had of shown up and performed in the above games then we would have had a real chance. We have an average squad and most of us accept that but this season that average squad could have done a lot better - do you believe that it is realistic to expect the chavs and scousers to be as bad next season or to spend the summer sitting on their arses when the best players are moving clubs ? That same argument will also apply to manure next season cos I doubt you will ever see a season where the great defenders that are evans and silva twins will ever see as much game time again and they will def buy a dominant central midfielder. This season we missed a big chance....that chance could prove very costly in the future and it traces back to the arrogance and laize faire attitude that radiates from within our club

Sadly I won't be there tomorrow, so can I leave it in the capable collective hands of my online friends to give Abou a nice cheer and a clap to get his spirits up for next season.
