26-------12-------2012 Wham postponed

I wonder what is causing the delay in postponing this match, could the premier league be keen to make Arsenal play that day.

Cynical me!

I'm sure Arsenal would want this postponed, probably to a Carling Cup semi-final midweek.

They wouldn't mind easing the fixture congestion and most importantly wouldn't want a half-full stadium.

Absolutely disgraceful that no contingency plans have been made already given that it's been obvious for weeks that the strike would happen.

I think they are more worried about playing on Boxing day and having to return the money to fans who cannot make the game as along with those who cannot make it because of tubes there will be those who couldn't make the game because they are away so would lose alot of income.

And you think that Arsenal will offer a refund?

I think you have us confused with Marks & Spencers!

The Premier League would not agree an early postponement as with CL and potential Capital Cup semis there was only dates later in the season which was not acceptable.

As per my earlier posting on 15th once we were KO by Bradford the club went full steam ahead to try and get postponed and suggested these 2 dates or FA Cup 4th rd day if we both got knocked out ( they play man u of course ).

Ticket sales would be stronger midweek and TH14 would possibly be available and of course the breather between Wigan and Newcastle will be welcomed by Wenger and players.

I was told yesterday by club contacts that the delay in announcement was caused by wanting to announce the rearranged date at the same time, not the decision to postpone but lets wait and see, be amazed if not all sorted today

I reckon Big Sam would welcome the postponement too so he could stuff his face, watch some darts and guzzle ale!!

Fucking hell they're going to play it on FA Cup 4th round day if both us and Wham get knocked out.

Bearing in mind they've got United that's another fucking incentive for Wenger to throw the FA Cup again :banghead:

Totally serious DB plus a mega pension . I don't think you will find much sympathy for them (Aslef union) ( possibly Bob Crow) .

Sack them all , take the power from this union , how many would do the job who live that way for £40,000 plus benefits ??????

As this has happened before Arsenal should have planned the match for the 27th and put Newcastle back a day.

Due to work my miss us cannot make many games but this was the one she could !!!!!!! ( the first this season )

Not that easy because Newcastle is on TV amongst other things.

I can understand them waiting until the strike was confirmed to postpone it but for fuck's sake it's been obviously for weeks and weeks that it's going to happen, why were contingency plans not discussed and finalised?
