Man City in Finland thread

Giroud was solid up top. Negredo looked tasty for them - solid.
Feo clinical
I thought Fernandinho look pretty good to be honest :? - reminded me of that industrious black Brazilian midfielder at Chelsea (forgotten his name)
Ramires.

Just watched the delayed 'live' game and Negredo looks class, Rambo looked good, let's hope he can take that into the new season.

The Ox still a bit of an enigma to me...not in an- are you any good Diaby- way but in a I think he is better than he sometimes performs. Kos and BFG are definitely our best CB pairing. KG looked solid enough. Giroud can have a good season, but he needs decent service. See Carzola is still being played out wide...WTF AW, you could almost believe he does it just to piss us off.

Result was meaningless but decent workout, shame there were no new signings to excite us eh

I thought Ramsey was very good today. Will he prove me wrong coz I really thought he was cats malojan. Me and Yankee certainly will have to eat humble pie. As long as it helps AFC I don't mind.

Didn't bother watching game but just seen highlights-not an important game but still nice to see some good goals.

I'll echo what others said-thought ramsey had a good game-not been a fan of his but hope he has a good season

Amusing to note that I wasn't the only one surprised by ramsey's pass for first goal with co-commentator (on arsenal player) claiming that it was Wilshere!

As I said last season Ramsays laziness and failed fancy flicks made me think of past players who were on the bottle. Maybe he's in AA now ?

I hope he has a good season too, he obviously showed potential at Cardiff.

rule is there has to be daylight between players. he was ahead but not past the defender mate. his timing was too perfect. great finish though...

It amazes me how many footy fans do not know the offside rule.
“nearer to his opponents’ goal line” means that any part of a player’s head,
body or feet is nearer to his opponents’ goal line than both the ball and the
second-last opponent.
No mention of daylight.

Rambo was simply brilliant, if he adds goals to his game we'll have some player on our hands.

Not sure if it ever made the rule book, but I think linesmen were told to look for "daylight" at one point. Whether that was by the FA or not, I'm not sure. I think that advice died away a while back though.
