The House of Cards is about to fall

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

All this negativism
I am a glass half full person, and always start off the season thinking we are going to do things. This term my glass is still half full and I believe we will get something this year.whats the worse that can happen. I don't see us loosing to the pool or Manu , we might drop points so we will still be in the mix come December when we hopefully can expect some players to return.Remember

We are top of the league oh we are top of the league, and repeat.

1-1 v Mousers
0-2 v Dortmund
1-1 v Manure who'll get a lucky late equalizer due to some horrific referring error.

being a member of the said brigade I would like to point out that at no time have I ever bought into the "we will win everything" bandwagon, so while it may have existed in some of the the minds as you say it was - imo - much more likely to exist in a transient state in the minds of the huge fickle group between the two poles.

I can understand the pessimism but I'm remaining optimistic. I think we can definitely win the two leagues though a draw at Old Trafford is most likely. The away match at Dortmund would be tough for any team in the world but a draw in that match would be a good result. It really all depends on how we do defensively imo, if we cut out the individual errors that cost us the first goal against both Dortmund and Chelsea (Ramsey and Jenkinsons mistakes) and manage to go one ahead I think we have more than enough to hold on and get the win, we've actually been very good at this over the past year.

Quite funny that you admit that you're wrong every single year yet go on to predict success again

Nope, you couldn't possibly subject any of Wenger's overpaid, mollycoddled lambs to even the mildest criticism - AW will keep them protected in their invisible bubble and they will rightfully continue believing that they're the best players in the world. And that whilst those mean men from Manchester are taking the points, it is us claiming the more important moral victories of 'beautiful football'.

All is well in Wengerland - and to anyone who isn't 100% happy, pipe down would you, the rest of us are enjoying these glory days.

Our best XI,if fit,can match anyone on their day,but injuries,a paper thin squad, and a psychological fragility in the "big" games will see us grasping for the fourth place trophy again at the business end of the season!!! :banghead:

I hope we are both wrong but this fella exactly mirros what i can see in this team ....

we all watch arsenal game after game season after season so how people cant see the signs already is beyond me.

if we lose expect the postive quote tomobola to be fired up on saturday night

3 pick reflective postive philosophy

Get better
Learn from mistakes
win the league
do it for the fans

Drawn by Tom watt wearing an arsenal thong being spanked by Gazidis

measured by an algorhythm based on likes and page hits increase, post defeat, worked out by a mathematician from harvard then signed off by gazidis and sent in a spreadsheet to Stan kroenke who glances at it for 30 seconds and smiles to himself that all is well ....

I dare someone to challenge me this isnt the case?

Another one whos glass is half full, surely some others can believe we might win something?

If the fans arent 100% behind the players its no wonder some may have a frail mentality.

Sadly Flamini wont be playing the next 2 matches, wish there were more "bulldogs" in the side of his sort of type- can it be a coincidence that 3 of our players have had career threatenening ankle/fib and tib fractures within the last few years?

At least we havent had a start like my nearest team- 8 losses in the last 9 matches :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
