SUNDERLAND THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He rested him against Liverpool.
i meant for 2-3 games...and then play Giroud v Bayern.
Crikey, how much rest do these bloody footballers need?

Another question, when was the last time you saw an Arsenal player play really well and think "that was because he was rested for the last 2 games?" Every time I watch us after a good rest we look off the pace. Momentum is king.

I used to like the Upstarts, didn't they do a song called 'Teenage warning'? That was my favourite.

I can see this being a boring 0-0 or Sunderland could nick it. Wonga will have lots of excuses ready for this one. The crumble is in full swing and should build to full crescendo by next month when we'll lose almost all of our games.

Go on Wonga.......sign that contract.......I dare you.....I double dare you!! 8) :barscarf: :barscarf:

He has played literally about 25 senior games in the last 5 years he's just due to injury. He's brittle as fuck and he played 90 minutes against Mousers Sunday and Bayern Weds and put in a shift both games. He's a banker to either break down or be knackered as fuck tomorrow.

Podolski obviously won't get the nod, presuming Giroud plays it will be interesting to see his reaction to getting canned for the Bayern game. Given his general level of performance since he joined it's a farce he's had a completely uninterrupted run in the side for over a season and a half, he's got a massive point to prove.

4-0 to The Arsenal with rosicky amongst the scorers and giroud will def notch one (goal) 8)

I think wenker would like to rest a few players tomorrow but there has been such a negative tail spin post Bayern that I think that he will be afraid to do so. I expect giroud and podolski to start instead of wakemeup and ozil and he might possibly "rest" ox and start rosicky but that's about it imo although it wouldn't be the team that I would go with

Hope he plays Ozil today and the fans get behind him from the off. He needs it and he wont get an easier game to shine.

4-0 Goon Goons.
