Sadly its the same for me...I don't own a television...I have a PC (large Screen etc) on which I watch Iplayer stuff BBC, 4oD...But the BT Sport thing came free with my phone line & Broadband...and as much as I (genuinely) do detest BT..it's all I have...having been without any means to watch TV/Sports/Anything for almost year, I was looking forward to being able to watch live Arsenal games again...then I discovered that the likes of owen & warnock etc were pundits/co-presenters... they really are unprofessional, poor and not suited to the job in any way shape or form..Owen sounds like a fucking moron in that dull un-inspiring - thick as shyte voice - and warnock needs to go and learn about football before making another comment...besides that they are really both totally unlikeable moronic *word censored*...topgoon wrote:I Hate Hleb wrote:The voice of reason from VoiceOfReason. Thanks for making my oh so subtle point for me.
Sky was the broadcaster, scary when a news international company shows more class than BT.
Signing up with BT before they started their all be it poor coverage means like most I'm locked in. The fact that they are sky's bitches and have to put their games on at silly times means I thankfully not had the displeasure that often.
Like most it annoys but find the victims hilarious that this blanket comforts over us being considered a better prospect than Brenda. Now that may not be precious but it's f**king priceless.
VoiceOfReason wrote:I don't really have a problem with the advert, tbh. They clearly wanted to feature a defining match from last season, and given the limited number of games BT Sport actually had the rights to, this was probably the only one worth highlighting.
Sure, I don't really get why they're showing people reacting to it as if they're watching the CL Final, but it doesn't really offend me, either. It's worse, in my opinion, when ads feature fictitious/simulated scorelines that have us losing. At least in this instance, the match actually happened, and we lost it fair and square.
Betfair had that 'Do you, don't you' cashout advert running for years, and that featured the Man Utd 4-4 Everton game when Everton scored two right at the end. Pretty sure that wasn't the media hating Man Utd - just a relevant game for the point they were trying to make.
When I see embarrassing complaints like this one I found on Twitter, I cringe big-time: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Bsag4W2CMAAwFjB.jpg:large
Seeing Ryan Giggs' SF winner on the Match of the Day opening montage every week in 1999/00 was far more aggravating than this, yet that didn't seem to be perceived as the media hating us.

As for BT's ad - bring it on - It IS THE Arsenal & Gooners against the rest - F*ck Em - I don't care we are a class above all the others.
All areas of the media have been sticking the knife in for years now - they all pandered to likes of rednosecunt and arrytherobber(allegedly)- As much as we may want him gone -Wenger Is his own man - and refuses to play their (media cock sucking) game.
We can criticise him and call him whatever - because he is 'our' manager...they can go and f*ck themselves.
The thing is no matter what coverage I watch - MOTD, ITV, Sky or BT - There always has been and always will be - those *word censored* who are anti-Arsenal...
Jug Ears Linneker *word censored* - comments about Arsenal & wenger making fun of his arm waving
The manure rednoseluvvy on ITV whose name escapes me - who has a go at Arsenal at every half- opportunity
and sky? - well thompson and countless other *word censored* - take your pick
I kind of expect it now - Unfortunately for the past 9 seasons - till our recent FA Cup win - We have had no ammunition to be able to throw back at them......Regardless of the success at other (oil rich or loan owned) clubs - as much as it has hurt - and feck we all know it hurts - I'd rather be a Gooner than any other football club fan.
Which ties in with why we are all desperate for Wenger to buy Khedira or the Defensive/HoldigMid-fielder we need, so we start can start winning trophies on a regular basis again...and we can just tell the *word censored* to go and fuckk themselves.
Last season was a timely reminder why everyone hates that toxic bunch of victims. When it came to the crunch I had zero qualms in massively supporting Ashley Cole, Flampard and co against them. And I can't agree more about one of the previous posts about Sturridge - great season last year but he really is an arrogant little fuck. Nothing will give me more pleasure than seeing the club and Sturridge toil away to mid-table obscurity this season, I will enjoy it even more than I enjoyed seeing United's horror show last season.goonersid wrote:Really looking forward to seeing those mouser bastards struggle next season, hope they get a fucking stinker draw in the clge. Very true. How many extra people are potentially going to subscribe purely on the basis of that advert? Whereas how many people umming and ahhing about renewing their subscription (and I bet there are a fair few given that I've never heard anybody say anything positive about any aspect of their coverage) is that going to piss off?LDB wrote:It's a massively misjudged ad.
Yes, some of us are being a bit precious but then football fans are a precious bunch and you'd think BT Sport would know that. They could have made an ad that has the exact same message without focusing entirely on one game. Then they go and get Jar-Jar Binks and Maureen to stick the knife in? Did anybody at the company think that through?
It just suggests amateur hour to me, why would you want to alienate the most well supported club in London?
Congratulations - although you should have learnt by now that it's a waste of time being 'subtle' on here as we're the forum equivalent of the stereo-typical Yorkshireman!!topgoon wrote:I Hate Hleb wrote:The voice of reason from VoiceOfReason. Who would have thought it?![]()
