MARTIN JOL TALKING OUT HIS ARSENAL

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Stevenage, Hitchin, Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City.

Not too far from me by car but never go to them, I imagine them as Arsenal places these days judging by the amount of people I see waiting for overland trains after games when I occasionally use Finsbury Park station.

Anyone from here live or work in those towns?

North West London (Zones 3-5 on the Edgware branch of the Northern Line, and the Jubilee line) is very much split between Arsenal and Spurs, a hint of QPR here and there, a tiny Watford and Barnet fanbase, and some Man Utd and Liverpool.
Wembley, Harlesden and Willesden less Spurs, a bit more QPR, and a bit of Chelsea starts to creep in.

Moving East of Golders Green towards the Barnet branch of the Northern Line and it gets more solidly Arsenal, places like Hampstead, Finchley Central and East Finchley, Highgate and Crouch End, all very Arsenal.

Reg Niseth told me that Mill Hill East (not too far from me but I only drive through it on the way to other places, never stop) is a bit of an anomaly, has a pocket of Spurs for some reason, the big estate there near where Saracens now play is mainly Spurs.

Yeah mainline out to Hitchin and beyond is hardcore arsenal. You tend to get more spuds in the poorer chavy towns eg Stevenage, but you'd expect that anyway   .

Wembley has a lot of Gooners. Barnet is also full of Arsenal and eerrrr Barnet even though they have been exiled.
