Without seeing any of the game, can I suggest that the snails pace is more a case of it being typical AFC ? The last few seasons have seen us practically trademark the "one good game one average game " system - on some days we just don't appear to be arsed to be in an effort and that is regardless of who is in our team that day.

Good performances from Ramsey, Ozil and Chamberlain. Nice to see a youngster score a goal too.

Here's that bit of skill from Adelaide...

Looks an interesting talent.
we won 6-0 no one can complain or moan about wenger and lack of signing a striker, no wonder no one started a thread. So lyon ligue 1 runners up, not that bad then.
Thought we looked very cohesive in Asia too
If we don't win by a large amount are we allowed to question the strength of the squad or will everything be rosy?
No because we'd be a leetle beet jaded from thrashing the mighty Lyon!

I see Walcott justifying that new contract with electric finishing :barscarf:
Ozil with a disappearing act in 1st half - or maybe I don't get footeh and "can't see what he does" lol. (I rate him actually, he just doesn't seem to want to be at Arsenal at all!)

Akpom, you'll never make it my son. You wouldn't find the right ball in your fucking jocks. May I recommend the MK Dons?

1-0 full time.

Chamberlain looks in fine form and some great touches from Adelaide; good footwork and vision for Theo's goal 8)

Akpom embarrassed himself at the end though. 4 on 1 and he doesn't spot any of the Arsenal players through on goal because he runs with his head down.

I'd say that's a huge worry because if he hasn't had that coached out of him by now, I'd worry it's going to be part of his game. Still, maybe I'm being harsh. Perhaps he simply forgot the basics because of adrenaline.

Anyway, good solid weekend for Arsenal. :barscarf:

I'm very encouraged by this current squad. Lots of depth lots of experinice and some superb youngsters coming through. TwonWorld Class players inn the squad too.

I agree I'd like some cover for cockles , but I do think as a club we are in a good place and we can have a great season.

Akpom did himself and the team no favours by not passing or seeing the pass.
The other youngsters showed great potential though. Would like to see some more of Iwobi and Jeff Reine Adelaide.
