The most ridiculous Wenger capitulation/stupidity.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Nothing will ever surpass the 8-2 drubbing - well not for another 100 years when we're all pushing up daisies anyway.

The 4-4 at Newcastle was the only thing that comes close for me

Still She-ra, the rug munching sister and the pre-pubescent thumbs up nerd that surrounded THAT banner afterwards would beg to differ of course

The Wigan, Anderlecht and Newcastle collapses just sum up the last decade under Wanker. Totally predictable, no tactical changes by the idiot in charge and all brushed off with excuses. There are so many failings with him going right back to the late 90s, it would need a second and third alphabet to categorise them all. Despite the actual games, his biggest failings have been the big decisions, the things that could have made us better. Things like transfers, contracts, recruitment and retention. He has failed this club over the last decade but his failings go back a lot further.

He made some poor decisions before 2006 (every manager makes them: Ferguson, Mourinho, Clough, Guardiola, Alf Ramsey etc etc - no different) and whilst some of them might have cost us certain things they didn't stop us from winning a whole host of honours

That defeat hit hard and the memory will haunt me forever, but I have to say that the image of those two dogs holding that banner will always be the over-riding image and memory of the day
