As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I despise Longface Van Nistledive and Racist Steptoe so anything less than a 5 nil win for us is unacceptable really.
The absurd irony of this, is that if either of them were playing for us we would probably have won the league.
Interesting that Jason Cundy, who played for Chelsea, is saying that Havertz is doing for us exactly what he did at Chelsea, the odd goal, the odd flash of real promise, but mostly crap......and we need to get rid.
Good luck with that, how much of the $65m are we going to recoup???? And anyway Arteta, like Wenger, unable to admit a mistake, will stick with his failed purchase.
I'd lay odds that we recoup Zippo, Zilch, Nada and fuckin' Nothing... When he does go (eventually ) It'll be on a Free to his Next Retirement Home after ours. Most Likely In his Dear Fatherland.
The thing is players are bought on stats, whatever we think of havertz his stats are the same as ollie Watkins. With that in mind I'd imagine we would get get what we paid for him, madness I know but that's football, they're all fucking mad

Verily Tis True Mon Ami.
As to this game, no doubt our little darlings will return from their intense training sessions in Sunny Dubai where the daily temperature hovers between 24 and 28 degrees, all Tanned, Pampered and just absolutely Raring To 'Get Stuck In' to the Opposition; currently in the Bottom Three and fighting for survival.
Could it possibly be a Banana Skin for our Tough, Hardened Warriors who of course never drop the ball or Slip Up when the Pressure Is On!.

Very true.
Apologies in advance now to our regular readers because yes I'm off on a stats rant!
Lefty's posts demonstrates what proves my argument that you cannot use quantitative stats to defend an argument in a qualitative environment like football.
Watkins has those stats playing at an inferior team that does not create the same quality of chance for him. That's one of the qualitative considerations. If he played for us, his stats, almost certainly his goal scoring stats, would increase hugely.
And then you have to also take the human psyche element into consideration. Some players, no matter how good, just don't "settle" at a club for any number of reasons, so there are no guarantees.
Nathan Butler Oyedeji has been on our bench after loans at Accrington and Cheltenham with an impressive return of 0 goals in 23 matches. He is 22 and could be the next Chris Kiwomya. Nathan hat trick 3-0 to us.
