Not necessarily true. He wanted to leave last summer, and was allowed to. He chose to stay though and I'm glad he did. He's had a magnificent season and I wish him well wherever he goes.Gunner4LiF3 wrote:come on just tell us
to be fair, if he was offered a contract at the end of last season, he would have signed.
Keep one thing in mind tho, he only moved his ass when he found himself out of contract in the summer. If he lands himself a 5 year deal will the motivation suddenly disappear??
We hate flamini, or flamini is a wanker songs on saturday if he does leave?
I know this will probably offend someone, but we have made him, he's given us one good season and is now fucking off on a free, after all that money we spent on training him etc. For a reported extra £5k a week, he's pretty much done a Cashley but for a less hated club
of course this is only if he goes which really looks like he is going to

What an overreaction! What does he owe us? He is a footballer. That's his job. If he wants to play for AC Milan, and they want him, then why shouldn't he go and play for them? Any regular on here knows that I will be as pissed any Gooner if Flamini leaves, but I'm not going to start throwing my toys out of my pram if he does. He's given us one good season, eh? You obviously didn't watch us win 1-0 in Madrid. He has always been reliable, he has been loyal and he has always worked his socks off. Who are we to begrudge him a new challenge in his career?goonarmy wrote:We hate flamini, or flamini is a wanker songs on saturday if he does leave?

It was on TalkShite today that he has been offered 60K a week by Juve and 60K a week by Milan but with a Brucie Bonus of.............. wait for it.............. zero tax
which has got to equate to nearly the magic 6 figure mark - nice eh??? if these rumours are true then Milan are very serious about signing our midfield dynamo and it'll be a miracle if he turns it down considering that he's made the AFC very aware that he's put a lot of time into researching just how much he's worth so as not to get taken for a mug!

You could say the same about Cole up until he left, we made him and he owes us more than he's given back. It's not for a new challenge, if it were he wouldnt have kept saying he wants to and hopes to carry on playing. Even Wengers come out and said he hopes Flamini doesn't leave just to chase money. This is all of course if he leaves if he stays then i will still begrudge him a bit. It's not throwing your toys out to expect a bit of loyalty from playerstonysaunders wrote:What an overreaction! You cannot seriously begrudge Flamini anything.
I agree with TS.
For the what 4 seasons he's been with us he's only been picked regurlary in his natural position for one season, this season when his contract was running down to it's final year. He could have left for Birmingham but didn't, stayed for the last year and could potentially be signing for AC or some other seriously big side. A big jump from Birmingham eh?
He's done nothing like a Cashley, he's been free to speak with other clubs since January and has done nothing wrong. I reckon the contract on offer at the start of the season wouldn't have been half what's on offer now. He's played himself into it, good luck to the guy.

flamini
i think he just doesn't want to run around as much...!! is that dog in Wayno's picture meant to be Cashley? Does it turn round after vomiting and say 'you should be glad Rover has been sick all over you'??
Oh really? So Flamini started his career with us, grew up supporting us and then ended up fucking us over by meeting with one of our main rivals while he was still under contract eh?goonarmy wrote:You could say the same about Cole up until he left, we made him and he owes us more than he's given back. See, I always thought that Flamini was someone who started his career in France, signed for Arsenal, was often picked out of position, rarely grumbled, turned down chances to leave and, all in all, got his head down and did a great job for us. I didn't know the above paragraph applied to him, too.
I understand you being frustrated but seriously, take a reality check. He signed a contract with us, so he is only obligated to stay with us for the length of that contract. What he does at the end of that contract is up to him.
Well wouldn't we all? Unfortunately, that isn't realistic any more. People leave jobs for better money all the time. Flamini has already shown loyalty to us, I don't think he really needs to prove himself any more.goonarmy wrote:i might be a bit old fashioned but i prefer my players to play for the badge not for his wage packet

It is more than £5k a week the difference between Arsenal and Milan's packages offered.
Arsenal it is reported have offered £55k a week, Milan £60k a week!
The difference is the Italian's always base their salaries on the after tax deduction figure!
So take 40% off Arsenal's offer and it looks paltry in comparison!
