You really are slightly delusional aren't you? Or at the very least blinkered.

Read back through the threads. You've never once had anyone on here genuinely in knots with a legitimate argument. You've twisted their responses, put words in their mouths, moved the goalposts, contradicted yourself, and ignored challenging responses or questions, when proven wrong. You do that literally all the time.

Off the top of my head, have a read back through the "GG paid top wages" debate we had. I literally proved you completely wrong with evidence from his players and news articles and other posters backing my argument, and you twisted and turned, misquoted me, mived the goalposts and started talking about pay after GG had left, etc etc etc....

I do agree this place needs more than one viewpoint and have always thrived to ensure that. To be honest I've often let the more positive posters bend the rules and even break them for longer than I should have in an effort to try and keep the forum from being just one viewpoint.

Unfortunately the posters with that more blindly positive viewpoint almost always resorts to calling people disloyal or not proper fans or disappear off the forum for months while things go wrong and then reappear to post "I told you so" when we have one really decent or brilliant result like last night. And then promptly disappear again when it inevitably all goes to shit again.

And trust me, if you start up the full on WUMing again I won't hesitate.
It’s actually very offensive that you call genuine debate wumming and it calls into question your judgement. You regularly turn a blind eye to the real wumming because it supports your Arteta out disposition. This is clear for all to see in the manner you predictably endorse negative posts with enthusiasm. Just look at the quality of some of the posts leading to our biggest game of the season. Reall gutter stuff but you won’t call it out and we know why.

You rarely acknowledge a positive post which is quite odd because you sat on the fence during the Wenger out campaign and I’ve said this before. You even made the bold claim that Kroenke would never sack Wenger unless we faced relegation. Yes of course, you will mention the secret forum you created to support the cause etc, but it was well known within the inner circle that you secretly resented the campaign, and I have the WhatsApp messages to prove. Years later, you still deride the effectiveness of the protests and credit Wenger’s leaving to apathy. What you forget is that without anger and protests, there would’ve been no apathy or empty seats. One led to the other. We now have a young caoch who’s managed to undo most of the damage Wenger left behind and you suddenly want him out because he doesn’t meet your high standards. The high standards you were happy to disregard when it suited you.

It's also funny you mention the Graham debate. I acknowledged that historically poor wages was an issue, but Dein resolved this in the last few years before Graham left. I pointed out to you that Keown who had left due to a wage dispute returned for a lot of money. We didn’t even need another defender at the time, but the funds were made available. You saw reference to us paying top wages, completely ignored the context and run with it. Again, another symptom of your tendency for black and white thinking.

I wholeheartedly disagree that you strive to encourage opposing viewpoints. Far from it, and the proof is in the pudding with most of the positive posters all gone or only appear intermittently. The Wenger out debacle already took out a large chunk with posters like Mark 1/2p etc deactivating their account. You’ve allowed the forum to become polarised by consistently siding with one view and if you think targeting people like me, whether directly or by proxy is going to improve the current state of affairs, then please go ahead.
To be honest after reading that pile of utter nonsense I think you might have mental issues. No insult intended, genuinely I think that might be the case. There is literally not one word of truth in your post. It's just a mental rant based on ignorance and no knowledge or reality whatsoever.

It's almost slanderous, ffs.

In one puff of air you accuse me of condoning a certain type of post and in the next you blame me for not preventing another kind of post. Neither of which is true. I don't dictate what people post. But if you are going to post blind rubbish you will be challenged on here. That's what a forum is.

Also, what the fuck has WhatsApp got to do with it? The "inner circle"? You're trying to make out you were some kind of leader of the rebellion or something? You weren't even on here until 2017 and I can't recall you being involved in fuck all tbh.

You talk about black and white views and then spout moronic rubbish like I was apparently pro Wenger because I wasn't directly involved in organising the Wenger out campaign and "sat on the fence" and "secretly resented the campaign"?

Sorry but that is the dribbling rubbish of a deluded person.

The reason a lot of the decent posters (not necessarily "positive" there is a huge difference) have left (and I know this as fact from their own mouths) is that poor quality posters like you and the poisonous little reptile that was Armchair, ruined so many threads by posting poor quality arguments, then twisting other people's responses, moving the goalposts, resorted to telling people they were not real fans, etc etc etc....

The reason alot of the so called "positive" posters left is because they could not back up their arguments and were shown up for lacking any football knowledge and so they stormed off in a hissy fit. The few that could put up a good debate are still here.

Finally, you don't do "genuine debate". That has been proven numerous times and is there for all to see.

This thread is so demonstrative of the sum total of your "contributions" on here. A quick read of your posting history shows a plethora of pointless twisting arguments where you spit out half truths, lies, misquote people, and basically provoke endless rows with numerous other posters - and it makes reading threads containing your posts torturous.

Tbh I'm pretty much done with your nonsense. Respond with whatever garbage you want. I will be watching your posts alot closer from now on and any WUMing will result in a ban. Not a "threat", just a statement of fact. Post whatever you want within the rules and you'll be fine.

Lads, with respect, that is fucking nonsense. I'm really surprised at both of you. You've been on here so long I thought you both knew better than that. Not sure why we can't enjoy a historic and brilliant win without turning on other members?

With all due respect mate I don't know why you've called me out on this, it's my view and surely I'm allowed to express it.

I've not insulted anyone or used abusive language, I've just posted what I believe, if you disagree, that's OK because that's your view but it doesn't change mine.

Anyway, a brilliant win on a great night and one I will never forget.
Sorry Lefty, I wasn't intending to "call you out" I just wanted to say I don't agree and that I hoped you both didn't actually believe what you said. If that's your genuine view that's fine I'll respect it but I don't agree with it.

Agreed it was a brilliant win and an amazing night. Let's hope the team can provide another couple of them before seasons end! 8)

I only caught the part from right before they had one sent off, and even that was a glimpse as I was already 10 pints into the evening, and was in the way home from the pub near work (they don’t show footie), stepped into a boozer near me to catch a glimpse of what went on and saw we were 3 up. I thought I was truly pissed when I first saw the score.

Suffice to say, when I don’t watch a European game we tend to do well (PSV 7-0 and last night).
Me neither driving back from Manchester, M1 services checked phone and saw 3 nil then turned it off as not to jinx then WhatsApps started flooding in. Not gonna watch from now in as missed psv too!

Only seen brief highlights and looks like we were outstanding.

I'm now more nerves about 2nd leg as those cheats can do anything

But I think we will go thru. My fear is we lose out to a bang average villa or boring as fuck inter in final or next round...that would be sickening. Fine psg or Bayern or whores. But couldn't take another shit tram winning it at our expense.

C :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Oh and fucking papers today had it been victims, scum or city dicking Madrid 3 nil would be pages ana pages on it. Just the usual 2 pages half of which big fat Martin Samuel being a *word censored*. Although he does say had we a striker we would have won by more.

Tbh until we scratch the European cup itch I couldn't givea fck about the league comparatively. I know this debates been had and people often choose league. But scandalous we have never won the thing. Could it be this year??

Or Lurking🤓

What a result
The 2 free kicks were magical & Merino getting the power & accuracy right when backing off wasn't too bad either a nice lead for the Bernabeu

I had a feeling that we were going to score 3+ goals last night Clarence seedorf 4 times winner told Declan last night that you have to visualise it to win it so let's all visualise a 0-0 or 0-1 to us next week

Gutted we blew the league challenge because it would have been very interesting if we could have stayed 5 to 7 points behind
But don't worry because I visualise us winning the league under this manager next season🤣

I hope everyone (including Augie😂) & family's are all well👍

FFS you two it's obvious you each wanna get in each others inner circles so just book a Travelodge, classy, and get it done and stop clogging this thread up with this shit!!!

A lot of you owe Mikel an apology. His team just put out one of the best performances in Europe in the history of our football club.
Nutty, seriously?

It was one superb performance. If we were doing that every game - or even every other game - I'd agree wholeheartedly with you, mate. But we are not doing that unfortunately.

Let's just enjoy that amazing performance and win without resorting to "I told you so" - especially as we have won nothing yet, but rather had one great performance.
The club fucked up in the transfer window last summer, so the PL with all of the issues we have had hasn't been what it should have been. No problems acknowledging that. Who is culpable, it's hard to tell.

But in the CL for whatever reason, we have put out some of our best performances for decades. I remember some of Wenger's best sides flattering to deceive with the exception of 2006, when we should have won the fucker. And last night topped the lot.

Before the game, I was worried about what Bellinghan, Vini Jr and Mbappe would do to our defence. None of those players did anything. The team has to take a lot of credit for that. Even the likes of Kiwior played his part.
Nutty - before last night we have produced one good night in Eindhoven this season.
The group stages don’t count - they were just glorified friendlies.

And you just hit the nail on the head about Bellingham etc. You are right - they just didn’t turn up. I better whisper it quiet on here at the moment, but although it was a great one off victory, and an epic night at the Emirates, I did come away from the ground feeling as though we hadn’t actually beaten that much. Look at Real Madrid’s recent matches - they are not on much form right now.
Think we will cruise through to the semis - but after tonight I’m terrified what PSG might do to us.

Positives - Kiwior deserves a lot of credit, has stepped up big time.
MLS - a world class superstar in the making.
Partey - I thought he was superb last night
Martinelli - put the Real Madrid wingers to shame
Rice - 2 worldies - but he won’t do that every game

Negatives - Saka is not fit
1st half in particular you could tell we lacked a striker. We are still relying on set pieces to score goals

The thing is this - was last night just a repeat of 2011 when we had a good win over Barcelona or a match on our way to Champions League glory? I fear the former.
