England 2018 World Cup bid

Reading the papaers today and it is clear the whole process is laughable.

I will be honest and say I think RolyPoly is closer to the truth than many give him credit for.

Nothing speaks louder these days than the wealth natural minerals, oils and gas brings.

Apparently Qatar's hydrocarbon output is reaching its peak so the world cup was part of their plan to bring in new streams of revenue.

Putin: Yeah, but funny thing is; we are paying you in English pounds.

And what did they say about English being arrogant and ignorant...insulting Qatar and omitting fact that it was final vote between Qatar and USA, all in one breath

@northernbankern

I find this shameless hypocrisy quite amusing :blah:
Yeah lets lie down and accept blatant corruption at the top of the world game just so we dont seem arrogant

Really, i would rather be seen as arrogant then have to pander to these c**ts. We were clearly the best choice:

-A west european world cup makes sense after the experiments in south africa
-Best stadia or at least as good as spain
-logistically simple, small island
-Would have made a fuck load of profit and plenty extra for those greedy c**ts at fifa
-Havent had the world cup before or since 1966.

Oh and how about this one:

AN ACTUAL FUCKING FOOTBALL CULTURE

Not a fucking footnote in the middle east that is just made up of slave labour anyway and a racist sesspit thats a logistical nightmare that rarely gets crowds above 12,000.

The further these c**ts move football away from its actual fans the more im losing interest in it.
First of all, why go on about corruption after Englands bid got rejected? And why have a go at BBC, Times etc for daring to question FIFA before host was announced? That's hypocrisy I find laughable...

As for 2018 - it should have gone to a country that had never previously hosted it - therefore Holland/Belgium have much more cause for aggro then England...but now question is; how to justify wasting over £400 million of taxpayers money on this fucking bid...should have spent it on fucking salt to keep country running during all of 2 inches of snowfall ...blimey...

And for those who cry of conspiracy against England:

1966 World Cup
1996 Euro
2012 Olympics

3 major sporting events in less than 50 years is hardly cause for claiming neglect...stop throwing your toys out of pram lads and get over it... ..

Sepp Blatter on the subject of homosexuality in Qatar:

"I would say they [gay fans] should refrain from any sexual activities." :duh:
