THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Apparently Wenger has told Arsenal he will walk away from the club next summer if another title bid falls flat.

Standards are so low at Arsenal now this just sounds like wishful thinking to me. If they haven't got rid of him by now for failing to mount a title challenge, I can't really see it happening after next season.

I'm sure he will do the honourable thing as well and hand in his resignation and waive his entitlement to an extra year's pay.

AKBs already talking big i see...

Iwobi the Nigeria international told The Sun: “I’m backing Arsene Wenger to win the league title at Arsenal again.

“There won’t be a single player in our dressing room next season who will not fight for him. We’d run through brick walls for the boss.

“I’m pleased because he really is Mr Arsenal, isn’t he? He has made it the great institution it is today.”

I see we are at the "we will challenge for the title" stage.

remind me again when the ST renewal deadline is. End of the week?

from next week the narrative will change to "we will try and get back to where we belong in the top 4"

We won't get 4th again...not with Wenger at the helm anyway.

Is there anybody on the planet who actually pays any attention to this rubbish every season along with the insistence about 30 times a season that we have a lot of mental strength, despite all of the actual outcomes indicating otherwise?

The same old pile of PR dogshit the club have had on repeat for the last 9 years  Shows how thick-as-shit a lot of our fanbase is by the very fact that they get away with it

Now we just need Walcott to 'send a warning', and were all set.
No doubt littered with his catchphrase "yeah... no" :)

The stupid old *word censored* will then argue over his exact meaning of 'falling flat'.
