Sunderland Game and Charlie x2

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I think we could get 11 for the away game. Maybe not all off this forum mind.

Just like to say thanks Chunky, sorry I wasn't up to scratch. I'd say I wasn't getting the service I'm used to     Thanks for going to all the trouble though, was a good laugh.

Nice to meet Augie, Goose and any others I've missed. Shame you couldn't of joined me in the showers

You were up to scratch when you were scratching Frank. Save your place in the team in Feb.

Chunks can I just say I'm more of a natural winger, so it wasnt really my fault! ;)

augie wrote:Chunky can I just say thanks and well done again for organising this game v the mackems 8) One of these days/seasons we are going to beat them and maybe if our version of nutty winterburn lasted longer than the time it takes to boil a kettle

I think that it is fair to say that everybody enjoyed the bit of craic and it was nice to put a few more faces to the names on here. Enjoyed the few drinks afterwards with most of the lads and it was just a pity that two lads who shall remain nameless (ok it was rebs and his dad barry) couldnt join us as it took them over an hour to find their hotel despite frank dropping them a few hundred yards from the front door
not our fault  honest  we got sent all over the place by the guys who were suppose to help, found the pub at 6pm
good to meet up with the lads before and after the sunderland game aswell :barscarf: and swl is not ginger but could be a bit irish

Chunky The Gooner wrote:A pleasure lads. A shame about the result but what can we do they were a lot younger than us and we played most of the game with 10 men as we had no subs and Frank Rosicky at left back  Id love to beat them just once! There was talk of a game against them at their place but like I said yesterday if we cant get 11 for a game in London what chance we got of getting a squad to take to sunderland in February?!
I echo what Augie said and its always good to put faces to the names. Cheers again

Gutted that I missed all the fun on Sunday. It would have been great to some old, and new, faces.

I was lagering into the early hours. Overslept.

Will definately make it to the official CharlieCharlie tribute day. Whenever that will be. I guess a new thread will be started when we know when the stone is being laid.
