There have been performances this season when I could see your point. But surely this wasn't one of them.... The only goal over which there was no controversy was ours. On another day, with a decent ref, we would have won that quite comfortably.
And what a fucking joke Niall Quinn is.... Ramires main contributions to the game were the foul that led to the first goal, the dive for the penalty and the elbow/slap on Wilshere in the second half. How is that a MOTM performance!!!!
Once again though I just know that most of the posters on here will use the result, rather than the performance, to have a dig at Wenger!
My main criticism of Wenger today is his perseverance with Arshavin. Maybe it's because it was snowing.... But he really needs to dump him and give others a chance!
thing is good teams get the luck,it shows where we are that we dont the decisions anymore,we are luckless because we are shit ,fact!
You are kidding right? We must be the most unluckiest team in the league with all these controversial goals against us...that is Wenger defeatist talk, we have had our share of 'controversial' decisions too. There is simply no excuses at all.
We conceded 2 goals today and neither should have been allowed. I think that's pretty unlucky....
And Kosielny was (rightly) sent off, and a penalty awarded, against City for doing not much more than Ivanisovic did on Giroud today i.e. arms around the waste. Except we got nothing!
So no, I'm not kidding. Methinks Wenger has a point....!
thing is good teams get the luck,we dont get the luck these days COS WE ARE SHIT,its not hard to understand

Totally agree. Another little bit died today. The slow erosion continues............................

So we have not had dodgy decisions go our way then?
MK, I think it might have been Diaby who had his arms round a Chelsea player in the box early in the game and got away with it, it's easy to say we have bad decisions go against us, we have plenty go for us as well. We are nowhere near good enough, plain and simple.

Cowardly? I said I did not care for Wenger but that I hoped Jack and Ox would not be affecting by being in a shit squad and I hoped they did well. Truth be told, it angers me to post about the current Arsenal side, even if we win, the best we can hope for is a virtual trophy.
apologies if I come across like a WUM, I just see our current predicament as very grim indeed.
What is there to talk about when there isn't a match going on? Shit transfer rumours? Soundbites from Pravda?

Why can't we turn up in the 1st half ever? Well, we have West Ham up next. This one has draw written all over it.
I expect us to either draw or lose to Liverpool at home. Their results have picked up recently. Funny what happens when you buy new players that are decent.

Sorry MK. I have to disagree. We could have conceded a pen in the first minutes with a 'arms around the waist' defending.
Despite what you think about the goals conceded, I don't consider either of them contoversial.
The performance, especially in the first half was woeful, abject and unacceptable. The result, had it even been a draw, would not have detracted from our shitty performance from our supposedly, best team yet.
I cannot see the point that Wenger has?

So we have not had dodgy decisions go our way then?
Of course we have. But I'm just struggling to remember one since our winner at home to QPR and god knows how long ago that was. Some of the dodgy ones going against us at the moment are game changing and coming against good opposition.
Even at OT, where we were fortunate to only lose 2-1, we had Wilshere sent off when we were on top - only a few mins after Utd got away with the exact same challenge!
The ref was shite today- of that there is no doubt
What it should not be allowed to mask is the absolutely dreadful 1st half performance by an Arsenal team that I have seen in quite a while. It would be easy to say that decisions cost us but I was more concerned by the lack of interest from some of our players. Giroud truly earned his French Lee Chapman tag today- I hope this idea that he works hard has finally been sussed out. He did not work hard at all today and lost everything in the air (the one area of his game that is supposed to be decent).
Sagna was a liability and Walcott, other than his goal just did not show the sort of quality I would expect of a player earning £100k a week.I think we were lucky that Ba did not start for the chavs because we looked in all sorts of trouble against him- he is not known for his lightening pace but he made our 2 centre backs look like statues. Our defence is a shambles but thats not something new.
