I agree Dan. I'm sorry but no way have Everton got better players than us. Even Spurs are paper thin on quality - Bale is obviously devastating, Dembele is a great player and Vertonghen has been good but apart from that they have no consistently quality performers.

That one game being the one we were in danger of getting battered in until that braindead twat from Togo got himself sent off I presume. What a joke of a club we're becoming. Please look at the resources available to Everton and tell me we shouldn't be a minimum of 10 points above them at the end of the season.....but we won't be

Defoe is a better central stiker than anything we've got and their choice of keepers is far better. More strength in depth mate

I agree with the call on Defoe, think he is a great striker. But the likes of Cazorla, Podolski, Walcott, Arteta, Wilshere, Sagna, Arshavin etc are perhaps not title winners, but they are not bad players. They have a couple of hundred odd caps between them but they are not showing that quality on the pitch. They're sent out and told to "play their own game, figure out their own problems" without a hint of leadership or direction from AW. They don't have a clue what the're supposed to do on the pitch, they don't know what runs to make or what space to look for....

That is a good enough 7 to be above Everton, and level with the scum :(

FFStime to stop talking about it's making me a combination of depressed and seriously f'ed off.

I'm off to catch the end of In the Night Garden and Bedtime story hopefully it's atale about a fine prince called Klopp/Moyes/Ancelotti who ridse in on a his trusty steed and slays mediocrity and makes yonder Kingdom Arsenal great again.

The number of caps means very little imo... how many did Heskey get?

Agree on both points. But their defence today was Walker, Naughton, Dawson and Caulker, as individuals I'd only really take Dawson out of those and he's not half the player he was before his injury. Wilshere is absolutely quality and Cazorla is creatively far more capable of anybody they have.

Swings and roundabouts, both squads have assets and gaping deficiencies but I certainly don't think our players are any worse than theirs on the whole. I would even go as far as to say we have better players.

Two quotes

"We had a physical problem to get going today. In the second half it was much better. When you play every three days, it’s difficult to know"

Errr....same for both teams knobhead

on if there is a leadership issue…
There’s a great spirit in the team. There’s great quality in the team. The team has to believe more in the quality we have. You could see with 10 men against Man City and today again that we can be dominant in the games. We have to [do that] from the star

So as we all know 'captaincy is overplayed', Funny that the team starts to play when the pressure's off and they are already out of it. That's not spirit you useless tool that's what bottlers do.....make a token effort when the game is up.

Honestly the bloke becomes more and more senile with every passing week. Surely he can't really believe these old soundbites anymore

Crazy ramblings from the lunatic in his bunker. Soon he'll start shredding all his private papers and in years to come someone will pop up with his 'diaries'.

its not about the players, or the budget its about the lack of coaching.

if RVP was still here, we'd have maybe 12-15 more points but still not be top - against a very unimpressive united squad btw, but that won't change the lack of coaching and organisation for the defence and the midfield.

AW is no longer able to manage, every week it's excuse after excuse. he's done.
