No, you can't really legislate for moves like that, where somebody places their family/private life above the football side of things. But I haven't seen anything suggesting that that's the case, and in fact from what I've heard Gustavo wanting to hold out for better offers is why that deal hasn't happened. Besides, could they really afford £15-20m on him + wages?
