VILLARREAL HOME

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

No, please god, anything but pens. I couldn't take that again after Roma. I agree with the write up of the wigan game in that attack will be the best form of defence. Us sitting back in the knowledge that a clean sheet would take us through is a BIG no no! That would backfire big time.

If we have pens I think Seaman will pull a couple of saves out of the bag, and Merse will slot the winner away 8)

NO FECKING PENS!

I couldn't take it against Roma, to go through that a second time wouldn't do my ticker any good at all.

Let's hope the boys are professional and do the job in normal time. It won't be easy, but I think we could win 2-0 if we don't lose our heads.

I'm really looking forward to the game and I'm sure that it'll be a cracking atmosphere. I just wanted though to comment on one thing from last night's match at Stamford Bridge......

Now I'm actually quite supportive of chanting our players surnames when the teams are announced.....and have no real problem with the Wonder of You..... BUT how cringingly embarrasing it was to see those Chelsea muppets last night waving those identical mass produced flags. Please Arsenal, don't try the same thing tonight..... !!

not sure if this is the actual line-up but if it is...its a 4-4-2 and Denilson is starting with Fabregas over Song....WTF. Mistake imo.

Sagna is out, apparently (though SSN are saying he's starting).

Lineup:

----------Fabianski------------
Eboue--Toure-Silvestre--Gibbs
Walcott--Song--Fabregas-Nasri
-----Adebayor--------RVP------

Mannone, Diaby, Eduardo, Vela, Denilson, Ramsey, Bendtner

I'd prefer pens to sitting on 2-1 for half an hour shitting myself they will score the second away goal a la Chavski a few years back. Come on Arsenal. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:
