bruce springsteen i think, dylan was another year back.
all i remember is not getting back to cork till the next day as it was impossible with traffic to get back to dublin and all the trains were delayed

First ever Gig ( I was 13 and my brother took me along - birthday treat - with is then girlfriend) was

The Four Tops (Support: Martha Reeves and The Vandella's and Jimmy Ruffin)
one month later The Who (Tommy Tour!) Pete Townsend in his white boiler suit and Dr Martens opening with Pinball Wizard...since feckin 100's including (in no particular order)

Deep Purple
Rolling Stones
AC/DC (their first ever tour with Bon Scott) there were only about 50 people there in the Top Rank - still got my ticket signed by Angus and Bon

Black Sabbath (I'd been in bed all week with flu - but got up and went to the gig) sweated like a fucker..came out 'Cured' but deaf for about 2 days!

Yes (have seen them 127 times now - my fave band)

You LUCKY LUCKY SOD!..I tried to get tickets but they Sold Out!

Last time I saw AC/DC was when they topped Donnington all day open air affair..(support was whitesnake aaaaaaaaaaaand feck can't remember) I do rememeber it rained till about 5pm - and down the front of stage was a quagmire - In all honesty they were 'Okay(ish)' - They were promoting the 'For Those About To Rock' album....which isn't their finest hour...but when they started doing stuff from Back In Black and earlier Higway to hell etc...got much better....

I bet they were Storming this time round!??

Some real gems in this Hendrix, Free etc ...but 51 minutes in just after the Jam - there's Angus Young of AC/DC - Back in 1977 with enough energy to put Battersea Power Station in the Shade!!
