Toure's going!

Kolo was awesome until he came back from the ANC with Malaria and he's never been the same since and at times he is downright dodgy now which is quite sad to see. A great guy who deserves a big pay day to be honest and with a year left it would be totally the right decision to sell for 14m.......as long as Wenger buys another CB to replace him because otherwise we may start games next season with Senderos and Tweety and that is just too horrible to contemplate!!
As Augie said, we haven't addressed the issue of being shite in the air in defence at all so to put TV alongside Gallas solves nothing really. Hangeland is poor with the ball but hell, we just want a big lump who will outfight the likes of Drogba and Crouch!!

Wow, we agree on something.

I'm fine with Toure going as long as we buy a aerially dominant centreback however if Toure and Lescott is the best centreback pairing City can get, they are not going to be strong defensively.

Bye bye fatty - thanks for the money. Arabs set to double his wages too - that's a lot of chips and gravy. Kolo will be 18 stone by the end of the season.

Best of luck to him, we have had his best years and if the reported fee is true, then that is bloody good business. Lets just hope we splash the cash and buy some more of those inflatable thundersticks so the fans can make some noise

£16m is a staggering amount of money for Kolo, especially with one year left on his contract. Man City are mad paying that, not that I'm complaining though.

Replacement is needed though, Silvestre can't get anywhere nearer the starting XI.

wow, i didnt realise he only had 1yr left. i know gallas does, maybe they could give us another 16m for him

Hmmm, maybe I'm wrong but I'm sure Kolo only had a year left.

I agree that if this true it is a great bit of business and that City have given us £41m in two weeks, however we have given them 2 players from our already small squad. Forgive me if I leave the champagne on ice until we actually replace them with some quality.

Which they will probably re-coup in triplicate when they pinch our CL place unless we actually spend some of it on decent quality players not unproven hopefuls who may,or most likely not, come good in 2 or 3 seasons time

If we get Hangeland (who in my opinion is a better defender), good business for a guy who is 28, out of form, has only one year left on his contract and wants to move
Big IF
