Atmosphere plans for Pompey home

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

This is the reason I don't like anything like this. Although I will be taking my scarf with me so that I can throw it away so as to prevent the hoardes of mindless idiots who will be collecting the ones left behind ala the CL semi last year.

I am very disullusioned at the moment
Exactly. me too. Funny how some of the people that constantly moan about Wenger suggest that those constantly moaning about the atmosphere should shut the f*ck up. Probably all of us should just shut the f*ck up & get behind our team *in an ideal world

Nah, fuck that. :(

If Arsenal did listen to the fans we would have a section just for singing instead of bit in this section bit there, merchandise would be affordable and ticket prices would be on par with others no sorry a few scarves don't cover the cracks and make everything hunkiedaree in wengertown!!
You are talking as if RedAction are run my the club.

HELLO.

It's just a few people trying to make things a bit more enjoyable given that we are yet again going to be THREE PLAYERS SHORT

As others have said the scarf waving is gay and the prospect of 2 thirds of that ground waving them to the TWOY is enough to make me vomit. Why won't fans start singing during that god awful song, I've tried it and nobody joins in but I think of red action started singing others would join whatever you think of them. Thankfully I won't be at the Pompey game as I'll be working but on and off the pitch my club make me wonder why I bother sometimes.

Too rye aye Gnuey...When my pack arrived my son (before he'd seen it) said 'Can I have the Scarf?' - Sure thing son  - When I handed it to him...the look on his face was like

all he said was "WHAAAAAT!?"....so we have compromised and put it on the back window shelf of the family car....you can't tell it's a cheapy cheapy made by a one handed poor kid in outer manogolia who gets paid 3 pence a week for the 'Priviledge'

reminds me of that saying 'never mind the qulity feel the width'

Red Action try, but compromise way way too much. They got their area.... in the furthest corner from the away fans, out of view of the cameras.

What about going in with a bit of bollocks and saying we're the only ones who make any noise - look after us or we'll shut up.

In Italy and Spain, the "Ultras" get cheap or free tickets because they guarantee atmosphere. We get the fucking piss taken out of us.

And I'm glad that my description of scarf waving (gay) has caught on. Makes me regret that I didn't describe it as "cunty"

I think there are a couple of other reasons why Italian clubs give their Ultras cheaper tickets!!

I haven't read this thread right through, and I don't want to criticise any efforts to improve the atmosphere at the ground..................

but I can't help thinking it is a bit sad that we have to 'manufacture' an atmosphere.

100% in agreement. I always sing good old Arsenal during it plus I have been known when a bit drunk  to shout a few choice phrases at the mugs who sing it. I find that 'Why are you singing this fucking shit song' works well.

Just to put you straight this is not REDactions idea, its the clubs, we have just been asked to try and find some volunteers.

Oh and we are always asking for feedback and new ideas and any that are sent into us are taken forward to the club if they have not been before.

We also held regular open meetings during last season for people to pitch up with ideas and will do so again this season.

If you've got ideas then let us know.

ok fair enough
but as a voice of the fans could you not let the club no that this isnt really going to improve the atmosphere

ive spoke to you before about what i and mostg people think the club should be made aware of

1. proper anthem that we can sing along to
2. an increased 'singing section' not just one block but a number of blocks spread behind the goal

Im very much for the clock being put back in the ground, but it aint going to improve the atmosphere as much as getting like minded people sat in the same blocks

you pretty much explained tht you have tried but its not easy
i respect you for trying and coming on here and talking
but can you not do a thread or some way of communicating with the fans where you suggest ideas, or ideas that have been put forward to you and let people say what they think. I no your not going to get a general consensus off one thread but at least its putting it out there.
The scarfs are just a waste of money and time

What the club/board/fat cats with the dosh need to do is:

Get rid of the feckin' elvis song...and either employ a profesisonal song writer _ NOT Daltrey fer fecks sake...or have a cmopetition wher the fans (regulars) get to vote the Anthem.......stop all this text the stewards and let some passion be voiced!...get some song sheets printed so even those who come once a year know the feckin' words.....

oh and get rid of eboue and buy THREE DECENT PLayers! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
