All-time favourite Arsenal shirt

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I'm talking full kit regardless. He was even in it when it was -7 last month.

Someone else on here must have seen him too.
I saw him years ago in Milan it was freezing and he had the half and half kit on with shorts and different socks on each leg too :D
he had two different trainers on aswell 8)
love the mixed socks

Baso is an Arsenal Legend. Dont think that he has missed a game in years.

Baso isindeed a legend.

I first saw him away at Leicester in 1983 with the half and half JVC shirt on.
Never misses a game. Based in Maidstone I think and I think he is more of an away boy as I,ve never seen him at home.

Re best Home kit it has to be the 1982 with Red collar.Re away the Green and blue classic of that year holds a soft spot for me. I still ahve the original with no sponsor!!!

Socks of that era (hoopped green and blue re away and hooped red and blue re home) were classics.

And if you didn't know I have limited number ofd the Green/Blue 09/10 prototype away shirts available. See the thread on the for sale section!!!!ae W

Away shirt would probably be the 05-06 one. Looks classy, although it'd be even better if the dark bits were a royal/navy blue instead of black.

Home shirt... dont know really. I really quite like this seasons one to be honest!!

Worthing you must be young!!!

This season's home shirt is the worst we have ever had (as are the away shirts).

Looks more charlton than Arsenal with that pathetic white stripe down the arm.

No dyed in the Wool gooner from 1970 onwards likes it!!!!

Current shirt choice is quite simply a crock of shite and i have none of them.

Green Army!!!!

So those of you old enough to remember, who has produced the most memorable shirts.

Adidas or Nike?

Not a big Adidas fan but 89 away still does it for me.

Plus the fact that I was still young enough to get away with walking about in full kit.

When is that cut off d'ya think? To wear full shirt shorts and socks on the street?
mate, i'm 25 and i still do it

but then, there are not many gooners in brazil, so i come out as excentric, not childish 8)
I'm still (loosley) trying to get my hands on one. I had this kit as a kid and the same as the yellow 89.

I've managed to get an original adult away 89 but still want the home 91.
Most of the kits by Adidas were good.
You got an original 89 shirt? Was it expensive? Ive got one in my loft again but not letting it go, got a 91 home shirt too with the league champions extra bit under the badge i got my mum to iron it on but wont let that go either... sorry
Yes, but it's a piece of history. I think I paid £45 on ebay but I've seen more expencive ones.

For example I've just seen the home 1990 one on Ebay for buy now (or nearest) for £60.
I wouldn't pay that but neither is it my size.

Absolutely Percy!
Agree 100%
I'd love us to go back to Umbro.
Never happen. Nike's got us in its claws now.

Adidas for me still think they make the best kits (cut of the shirt, design etc)
