Is there anybody out there who still believes?
I would say the only hope we have got is Manchester United and Chelsea drawing next weekend, for me it HAS to be a draw to pull us back into the race. If either team wins we will still require two slip ups from the winning side which i thnk is too much to ask.

Firstly I loved the "Never say Die attitude" we portrayed. It was reminiscent of the Invincibles. I knew we would score. Wenger is a genius, but like all of us, he is only human. He is phenomenal at choosing Midfielders and Forwards. His Faux Paus remains defence. He cannot choose a good keeper or defender, if his life depended on it. TV seems to be the exception. I adored Big Pat Jennings, could not stand Jimmy Rimmer. I loved Big Dave Seaman, and thought Lehman was a decent keeper, but a clown who cost us the European Cup. It is time Wenger brings in Seaman and Keown, to choose and coach our keepers and defenders. He must admit he needs help in that area.I will support the boys to the very end, as I have done for 36 years but I was gutted yesterday. We can surpass Barca if Cesc is fit, we need a focused AA but he seems so unfit, I cannot see him starting.I am beginning to wonder if he is leaving us in the summer, his body language is appalling. Our goal difference is at a tremendous disadvantage, and we now need to seriously wipe the remaining slate. Come on You Reds.We Love You and We know You can do it.Cheers

Mate agree with what your saying but almunia is the best of a bad lot problem should have been sorted out last summer or in january. If we drop almunia who plays instead.Everybody who watches football knows almunia i s not good enough except for the guy who gets paid huge money to manage the team. But its too late now.donaldo wrote:How can we believe when Wenger keeps picking Almunia?????
We have needed a quality keeper since Mad Jens retired.Man Utd have VDS Chelski have Cech we have a clown![]()

mmmmmmmm, quite the sweeping statement.highburyJD wrote:I'm not exactly an Almunia fan
but EVERYONE except Wenger knew Song and Diaby weren't good enough
They weren't good enough.
Certainly not Diaby continually lining up on the left of a 4-4-2 and Song as part of a two man midfield with such an attack minded player.
To combat the deficiencies of Song and accomodate Diaby into a more natural position Wenger has had to radically alter the way the team lines up week after week. I'm sure had he not made those changes this season we would have seen barely an improvement in either. So he gets credit for that.
For me it's more if you think back a season or so, Wenger claiming that we could still challenge at the very top by having these types of players essentially learning as they went along. You just have to look at the two players Fabregas began his career with, Vieira and Gilberto, to see that whilst they assumed the bulk of the responsibility game to game he would be free to just play. So it's more a case of not them not being good enough, but not good enough to be a solid element of a team looking to really compete year in year out.
After all that's what we were promised by the board and the manager. Something they really have failed to deliver recently whilst we watch players who are not ready getting waay to much game time and having no one to really learn from.

I admire your optimism, but I can't help agreeing with this Goonerwho thinks Almunia has tossed it away with that mistake against Brum, moments like that decide titles.Mr FINSBURY PARK GOONER wrote:trust me..
