I'm not a big fan of Benzema, and he decided to go to Real Madrid, but there's massive players like Ronaldo, Higuain, Kaka, Raùl, etc ... I'm not surprised he wasn't playing much. And I think he's overrated .. and a *word censored*

So Eboue and Diaby will be at the world cup

you couldnt make it up
I'll give you one reason why Nasri hasn't been included - The World Cup is away from home.

I am a big fan of Benzema and would always choose him over Cisse.
He´s a c**t for me.

I heard Benzema refused to warm up during the game against Ireland, and he said in the press that he didn't want to give everything for France because he was upset to not start ..
Cissé missed the WC in 2006 because he broke his leg against China in a friendly just before the tournament. He's been quite unlucky in his career, he's had a broken leg 2 times, and he's coming back to a good level. And his attitude is very good compared to Benzema.

The midfield looks light on creative players, guess there will be a big pressure on Ribery to create?

not sure Clichy or Diaby merit their call ups this season, both have suffered through poor form and/or injuries this season, fair play to them though, cant see the point in taking 3 left backs either.Given Sagna's relatively poor season dont think he would start,Gallas has been injured for the last 2 months so that is a risk, cant see any of them playing much part, which is good for us,keeps them fresh for next season.

Yeah, there's a few creative players like Gourcuff .. and Diaby
But we're not Spain, I dont think we'll play a creative football
Evra will start

I think Clichy and Diaby will be on holidays in South Africa. I hope they wont be injured staying to much on the bench, they should bring some pillows.

I hope for England's sake that you play a central midfield of Toulalan and Diaby. Please!
Would Domenech play this, which I think is balanced?:
-----------Henry - Anelka------------------
Malouda - Gourcouff - L Diarra - Ribery

malouda, gourcouff and ribery? and that with henry coming deep to get the ball (and evra joining the attack), that's a midfield that does not lack creativity and quality by any means in my opinion...

Has lots of creativity, I agree, that is why I asked about this formation.
But look further through the squad and it is more about workmanlike players than I would have thought.

Toulalan could be a great center back, he's been amazing in this position with Lyon. I'd like to see that:
------------Henry(c)-------------
------------ Anelka---------------
Malouda Gourcuff Diarra Ribery
Abidal Toulalan Gallas Sagna
--------------Lloris----------------
