MOST UNDERRATED ARSENAL PLAYER IN OUR HISTORY

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

others could be

brian talbot
steve williams -a nutter
kevin richardson
and even david o leary who many on here dont like but for a long time was our longest serving player and who stayed at arsenal his full playing career even when he could have gone many times , so he deserves better.
I think O'leary is still the record holder for appearances, and he also played for Leeds after leaving us (1993 Cup final wasn't it)?
yeah was a great site when he was the last player to lift the cup after the 93 cup final, he had tears in his eyes, i know he played a few games after leaving us but he was with us 20 years as a player so for me that was his full playing career

always remember the back 4 praised as dixon, adams, keown and winterburn, bould always got overlooked
Really? I don't know how you came about that mate. Keown only joined back in 1993.
well from 1993, Steve Bould was overlooked compared to the rest i always thought, and pre-93, was always the player of the 4 who was mentioned the least...he did assist Adams goal at the end of the 97-98 season though as my sig states, proud moment 8) :barscarf:

I think most of the 70/71 Double team were underrated especially
McNab , Storey , Simpson and Radford .

Paul Davis played over 400 matches for Arsenal. The one issue i have with this is that it wasnt enough for him to be in the top 50 greatest players at Arsenal....that was a travesty

also some may say i am nuts but without a certain goal scored by thois player....teh 87 dynasty may not have happened....and the Spuds may have had the success we had that followed...can you imagine that?

I always thought Kanu flattered to deceive, he looked amazing at times and as you said did turn a few games coming on as a sub but plenty of times he was awful and had a head like a sponge when it came to crosses. i really cant say he was under-rated IMO he is rated about right : average
