How is it nonsense? Buying 1 keeper alone would have saved us roughly 12 points last season. League won! Come January he knew we didn’t have a striker as RVP was out. We were in a strong position to really win the it and he should of made the squad stronger but he didn’t.
Now this season the man cant even compete at the lowest level in the transfer market. His best days are long gone.

Frank - you've made some good points but I don't agree that Arsene never knew. Two doubles and an unbeaten season puts him in the top 1% of managers.
It wasn't obvious at the time (2003-2005) but the arrival of Abramovich damaged Arsenal (and Arsene) more than it damaged any other club or manager.
* 2004 we were 1st with 90 points (0 defeats) and the Chavs were 2nd on 79 (7 defeats)
* 2005 we were 2nd on 83 points (5 defeats) and the Chavs were 1st on 95 (1 defeat)
* 2006 we were 4th on 67 points (11 defeats) and the Chavs were 1st on 91 (5 defeats)
As fast as that shower of shit spent money and improved, we seemed to go in the opposite direction. Arsene obviously believes that he will be proved right in the long term but I can't see us competing seriously again until the billionaires get bored and piss off or FIFA change the rules - neither of which looks likely.
Or until Arsene stops including so many shite / over-rated / weak players in our squad.
