Best Football Stadia

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

My fav still has to be the San Siro..... Ok, dated and the facilities leave a lot to be desired, but for atmosphere and take your breath away raw "beauty" its top of my list.

Qwest Field home of the Seattle Sounders. The birds nest is unreal :barscarf:
Saw the Chargers play their last year - never been in a ground that loud before. It's on another level.

Since it opened they have the most false starts for opposing teams in the league shows how loud it is.

Was curious if any of you had ever heard of the Calgary Saddledome. It's a hockey arena in Calgary (a city famous for its rodeo and cowboy heritage).

Inside, during the playoffs. We're famous an almost entirely red, jersey-clad audience. No "away" sections in the NHL! 19,200 seats roughly.

Kind of neat, something different for sure.

Spent a lot of time looking at this site, covers all 92 league grounds and lots of non league, and has a personal review on each ground, really good reading.

Anyway, Veltins (FC Shalke) is pretty cool too. It's got a cozy atmosphere for a building that was recently. Close to the touchline, that's the way to be.
