Cesc is overplayed, RVP has always had injury problems (and is probably also overplayed lately), Vermy's an unlucky one. Theo is built like a teenager playing in a league of full grown men that's known for tough tackling.

I think it's just the type of player we buy/raise. We'd fit in a lot better in Spain IMO.

Well we should be buying people who can play in the PL then, as after all, we're an English club. Last time I checked anyway. :?

Van Persie's last 3 injuries have all been extremely unlucky impact injuries. Last season Chiellini hacked him in an international friendly and fucked up his ankle.. Blackburn away at the start of this season was the impact of the ball on his ankle when entering a challenge, and in the cup final he somehow scored but the impact on his leg caused grief to his knee.

In the past I have criticised him for personal reasons, but I believe he has matured.
I have thought about this a fair bit and on balance would not sell him.

I think I now see him as a bonus player, very sharp when fit, but will be fit for only half a season. So play him when fit.
In 50% of the season he is more use than a Bendtner who is fit for 90% of the season.

Reckon we should ship Bendtner off to Bayern, and bring in a fast sharp shooter as our main striker, someone established, fairly big money.

Nothing unlucky about it. He's just a weak man. Just accept it.

Logic says that's right, but Wenger won't do that. Anyway, enough of that. Quartz....

Who needs RVP at the Nou Camp anyway? We don't need to score any goals there, surely we'll just turn up and play for the 0-0?

we should do with rvp, what man utd do with michael own. pay him a basic week of £40-50,000, and then pay as you play. it should be manatory nowadays, esp with players like these to who cant stay fit for any longer than 2 months at a time.

With the club's official stance now changed to "the shortest we can imagine is 3 weeks". I think we can rest assured we probably won't see him again this season.
It's somewhat ironic that Wenger's desparation to win a meaningless cup, that he once treated with contempt, has now cost him his only decent striker and any chance of a credible trophy this season.
Once again Wenger has panicked under presssure at the business end of the season, and as a result we will once again win absolutely fuck all.

Back to nervous sideways playing Arsenal now RVP is out again. With him in the team the rest have some belief in what they are doing (some of the time)

Without him we are simply fucked. With Barry *word censored* head on 2 league goals this season and 6 in total in roughly 27 appearances we are 100% royally fucked

That being said RVP has never scored more than 11 league goals in 1 season. This is very alarming and the fact he is on 10 now with the club saying its 3 weeks at least I don’t think he is back till the emirates cup.

Since 2004 he has never scored more than 11 fucking goals in the prem, that’s terrible and Arsenal should be looking at signing a credible striker.

To be honest I hate watching Barry, I cant stand the him or anything about him. He is beyond fucking shit and not good enough.

Now its back to Barry and this makes me want to stay at fucking home!!!!! To be honest I hate watching Barry, I cant stand the him or anything about him. He is beyond fucking shit and not good enough.

RVP is one of the few players that has that extra bit of class that could have scored a vital away goal at the Whores' gaff. And we will need to score at least once to have ANY chance in this tie because they WILL score at home against us.

As per my yearly bet with Number 5, I cannot see RVP EVER providing us with a full season's service. He is injury prone, end of. It's sad because he is probably (on his day) our best technical footballer.

I also am starting to think Theo will go the way of RVP for the rest of his career. He too is just injury prone.

And I go back to my old argument about muscle mass. Look at RVP's and Theo's legs! They are like sticks! Muscle mass protects and supports ligaments, bones and tendons. It is no coincidence that these lighter built players are forever getting these type of injuries.
