Lehmann in talks to re-sign ( On SSN)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I remember one howler at Blackburn but after two mistakes he was dropped.
How many mistakes have Fabianski/Almunia made in the last 5 years?
40-50 I'd estimate.

Again though honestly I have more confidence in Lehmann than Almunia and tbh that says it all about the Spanish clown.

Yeh i agree he should never of gone. But that is down to one man.

fair enough, but do you still believe that should he sign, he'll play automatically?
Maybe I'm not objective because I love Mad Jens

But lets be honest what other option do we have?

The option os the one taken by Mr. Knows. It's the only one in a crazy fucked up situation that makes sense. Av Al plays, he has just played a game and a half. Jens is just coming in, he can't play just like that.

It is a poor situation, but there is only option.

When Lehmann left it was the right thing to do he was well passed his best. The wrong thing to do(cue another Wenger cock up) was to replace him with Average Al.Now 3 years later it looks like they will be 1&2 again.Who said comedy is dead

He's signed.

End of season contract, "jumped at chance to help Arsenal out".

I guarantee that either Wenger will continue with Almunia and he will fuck up several times.

Or

Lehmann will be brought in after the international break with 3 weeks training under his belt and be brilliant for 9 games.

Not like me to be positive, BUT we must remember as I mentioned the Sol Campbell signing.

Think back did any of us think that would work? I didn't. Arguably Big Sol was our best defender last season!

Its complete desperation but thats what we are desperate!

It's all over Twitter, and Bild, the german football paper.

Get cultural!
