Along with Feo to scousers for £24m, then we might bid for a striker from Burnley or a defender from Fulham. The books will be nicely balanced again.

Re: Jenkinson
Agree that Bac is a top 3 Rb in the world. One more reason to keep him, right? Jenkinson can only benefit from being an understudy for a couple more seasons, when he'll be a more complete player.
Look at Jack to see what being thrown at the 1st team can do in a long term for a young player

Re: Jenkinson
perfect scenario is we keep all our best players
this summer is probably the last time we could get a significant fee for Sagna...

He will be a better player after a season of coaching from old Bouldy..highburyJD wrote:perfect scenario is we keep all our best players

We'll keep Jenkinson for at least 5 years, he had said he would have no reason to leave the Gooners or London. Whether this is true or not....

I worry that these mid-season friendly squads are going to result in a lot of one-cap-wonders
Osman, Zaha... let's hope that Jenks isn't one of thm

Re: Jenkinson
I have no doubt that Jenkinson and Zaha played last night to cement them as England players to keep Woy's options open, not because the FA will ever let him pick them.highburyJD wrote:I worry that these mid-season friendly squads are going to result in a lot of one-cap-wonders

Re: Jenkinson
Sagna has to stay. Simple as that. This will be the straw that broke the camels back if he leaves now and then its going to be tough convincing anyone to come to arsenal.
I like Jenkinson, but I don't think he is close to his potential limit.

Re: Jenkinson
Against Norwich I think he was our best player, same against Schalke at the Emirates, he was the only player who looked like he actually gave a damn if we won or not. Potential to be an Arsenal Legend IMO.

'Legend'? Really? No he'll do well if he is remembered in 15 years time but legend?Mr Eboue wrote:Against Norwich I think he was our best player, same against Schalke at the Emirates, he was the only player who looked like he actually gave a damn if we won or not. Re: Jenkinson
He's living the dream, arsenal fan from relative obscurity picked up and now at Arsenal, it's the story everyone loves. If we go on to win a few trophys (god help us if we don't). He scores the winning goal in the FA/Champs/Title deciding match etc.flash gunner wrote:'Legend'? Really? No he'll do well if he is remembered in 15 years time but legend?

Re: Jenkinson
Of course if he scores a winning goal but even Bergkamp didnt achieve scoring a winning goal in a final for us and with the chances of that being virtually zero he's a right back so it cuts back his chances even further. Living the dream yeah he is (for now) but legend really?Mr Eboue wrote:He's living the dream, arsenal fan from relative obscurity picked up and now at Arsenal, it's the story everyone loves.
