I predict a massive chorus of 'There's Only One Arsene Wenger' at the Bowl followed up by comments about how we've bounced back with a very good spirit. Patrick Barclay who has gone into hibernation since the 1-1 draw at City will write a gushing piece in the Standard about how Wenger has proven all of us spoilt brats wrong once more

Stevo he was on sunday supplement yesterday and i thought he was going to have an orgasm when he started talking about wenger and how much he loved him and he did indeed use the words love him

Which turned my stomach as well cos he was one of the few journo's that I actually respect

I think that it also should be said that 3 of the 4 journo's on the programme yesterday morning said that we would be the right fit for pep to manage when he comes to england. Paddy Barclay went so far as to suggest that if pep made it known to the club that he was interested in taking over from wenger that gazidas should then go and talk to wenger about the idea - for me he practically suggested that wenger would hand over the reins to pep if he wanted the job

Otherwise I dont see why Wenger hasn't been starting him. Hes been trying out Rambo in that position. He knows the OX or Gerv or even Arseshavin (who by all accounts should be the one to go but he cant get rid of him) can all play there.

So Theo off and no replacement because in Wengerball we already have players for that position.
What pisses me off is that Wenger is prepared to send out a weaker first 11 just to seemingly spite Walcott & prove a point in his vendetta against him for not signing a new contract. Once again he puts his own pride & ego before the team.

I'm not the biggest fan of Theo by any means but he offers the pace that we quite obviously lacked today & whether he's signing a new contract or not, whilst he's on your books you should be playing him if you think he can make a difference. OK, he played 120 mins in the week but he's hardly played a lot in the weeks before that & must surely offer more than Ramsey, the Welsh Denilson?
100% agree with ya here. Wenger is a narcissist who should be culled, but is Ramsey that bad? Welsh Denilson perhaps, but he can't be worse than Gervhino.. even better, Gervhino as CF :banghead:

You should try and find the link to Barclay's article after we drew 1-1 at City mate - your respect for him would have disappeared in an instant. It wasn't that far from PHW's line in condescending contempt for the fans that dared to criticise Wenger and actually stated that surely know was the time to recognise that Wenger's policies were proved correct. Yes all this before we even got to Autumn !

He's a total slime ball - if we beat Schalke tomorrow he'll be back in the Standard saying that everybody who turned on the club on Saturday should thank their lucky stars that we've still got Wenger. He'll then slide away for a couple of weeks if we don't beat Fulham or Scum. Not once has he written about us in that paper when we lose - he switches immediately to some pompous crap about Michel Platini or technology in football. I can't stand the bloke

The next 5 games will decide 4th or struggling to finish top 6 for me. 3 seasons ago the next 5 games were 15 or at worst 13 points in the bag now with confidence so low and certain players playing so poor I wouldn't be surprised to take 8 points or less

I can't see us in the top 4 this year. We have been worse than last year because we don't have a striker, so we are struggling for goals.

Walcott will be on his horse in January and we will have someone lined up. I suspect that if we are struggling in the league come January that Wenger will buy, so my prediction is that we are 7th at the end of January and Wenger goes out and sells a couple, like Chamakh and Wally and buys someone with a year to go on the contract. I'd love it to be Llorente, but we know that will never happen. If it is the kid from Palace, people will be livid, but I don't think that Wenger is an idiot especially when doing poorly in the league. He will know that he will need to do something, so I would suspect a good signing in January.

We won't sign anyone in January. The solution will be an internal one. :banghead: :cussing:

Yep, we'll hear about the "two markets" again - one internal and one external. Right up there with my old favourite "special circumstances" that one, although these days the "illusionary domination" gets a creditable mention

If that is the run of fixtures before xmas then it is hard to see 26 pts coming our way - I have us down to drop pts in at least 3 of the games you have tipped us to win and have us losing two of the games that you have tipped us to draw  Of course our modern day team and club somehow frequently do just enough and pull wins out of the bag when least expected thus lifting, for a short while anyway, the doom and gloom amongst the fans

for sure augie, i don't doubt we will drop points in at least 3 of those games - i was careful to say that's the minimum I EXPECT from us. it's the minimum we should all expect really. whether that happens... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Can't see it. we'll probably get a bit more solid and not lose many games but we won't score many goals either, as our main creative spark looks knackered.

Draw/lose to Baggies, beat the barcodes, lose to wigan, draw to spammers.

I voted 11th
