As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
I find I'm not really concerned who his replacement would be, the important thing is that he is replaced. We may get his replacement wrong, but if we do, it will be a lot easier to rectify without the memory of past glories clouding everyone's judgement.
If I had to choose a replacement I would go for proven experience.
In the past I would previously have been willing to take a punt on the likes of Owen Coyle (when he seemed to be up and coming) Both history and present though now suggest this is too risky with the likes of Lambert and Rodgers looking out of their depth after promising debuts at lesser clubs.
I fear the same could be true of Laudrup, so would stay clear of him, Swansea's capitulation since winning the league cup, imo casts doubts on his motivational skills. I know if I was a Swansea fan, whilst delighted with a trophy, I would feel somewhat cheated turning up for the remaining games of the season to see players simply earning their appearance money.
I don't think you could go far wrong with Moyes, he may not win us the prem lge, (but who could if the board are steadfast on their spending policies) but I do think he could restore pride and if a top 4 finish is all our board will aspire to, then I think we would at least have nailed that by now.
If Wenger goes to PSG, I'd be over the moon. There are loads of managers that are out there that would be good.
Heynickes is out of Bayern. Ancelotti, Moyes. That is if we wanted to grab a manager without paying a club for them to leave. I'd take any of them. I'd even take Mourinho.
If we actually did want a quality manager, it has to be Klopp for me. I half-wondered if he is demoralized watching his team getting bought now, so perhaps there is a chance.
Personally, I don't see anything with the Wenger to PSG story. I think that he will be here next year as well, sadly.

"Unconfirmed reports say the last year of his current deal, which ends next summer, is optional, which would mean he could leave without breaking the spirit of previous pronouncements on seeing out his contract."
In today's Standard the club are denying any such clause in his contract. He is signed up till the end of next season says he will always honour his contract.

Then again, the club always deny that our star players are about to leave... usually about a month before they leave. Hopefully it's a similar scenario here.

He's so vain and self-centered that he won't go until he wants to. If he does go, he'll announce it months in advance so that he can have a majasterial send-off and really milk it. If there is any money to spend in the near-future, he'll want to spend it because he's too much of a selfish *word censored* to let anyone else do that and God-forbid, actually win something.

However, in this instance, would you consider Wenger on par with one of our stars?
