Fabianski - Leaving

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

But we got through - he will have to stay in goal for the next round, as he is now our lucky gonk v scouse teams.

Szczesny will get the nod from now on I reckon. We're getting to the final stages, Wenger will go full strength.

He's always been a good shot stopper but woeful at the "commanding the area" stuff, as he demonstrated today. He was great though.

Doubt it. Next round especially, with it coming right before the Bayern 2nd leg. Although that may well be a dead rubber I guess. Possibly if we get to Wembley he'd put Szczesny back in but even then I'd make Flappy favourite to be picked instead.

Today summed him up. Played well but could so easily have let the team down with a typical brainfart.

Should not have played today and should not play for us again.

On a related note how brilliant was it to see mad Jens on TV? Even if his articulate nature is unsettling when you consider what a lunatic he was on the pitch.

Plus he was the only bloke who hated Almunia more than Flash :barscarf:

Fuck "fair to the bloke". Win at all costs, we're not running a fucking charity. Should not be fucking around with feelings and Wenger's perverse sense of fairness and equality when we could actually fucking win something.

He's been a massive help in getting us to the quarters today, so let him play in it.

Simple.

We could actually win something. Either Szczesny is most likely to see us win it or Fabianski is. Nothing else matters.

The FA cup has long been the 2nd keepers opportunity for game time - recall Richard Wright played in goal in all rounds then Seaman played in the final..

Thought Fabianski made a couple of very very good saves, even stopped Sturridge trying to round him superbly well.

Wenker doesn't do you played well so keep your place, as Ox and Poldi have found out to their cost after goals v Fulham and Palace, so I expect neither will start v Bayern
