LEAGUE CUP THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If you want to do it 'old school' instead of messing around with streams etc, there is full commentary on BBCRadio Five Live.

Yeah wat dem tings wiv da nise a cummin out but wiv no pictures dred!????

We are gonna have to be on our toes for this one - As Southampton see this as one of the two trophies they might win, so will play a decent strength team - and they are playing well at the moment.

AW has to play Campbell and if - IF he gets decent service he WILL score.... :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Come on you Young Gunners - and Diaby yer feckin' Crock!

I hope Diaby doe have a good game - he's bound to be rusty seeing as he hasn't played for over 20 years.

I did hear he has had a Stannah Lift insatalled to get him from his crib to his ride! Innit! 8)

That brings back memories of when I was in London late 80s when I use to tune in capital gold and listen to johnathons Pearce commentating, moving around the room to try and get a decent reception.

For a second there I thought that was some sort of new nickname for Diaby but that you had misspelled it and really meant "Diaby DOA"

thats pretty much how i get most games that are not on TV.

i always have done, right from when i was at school and couldn't go to away games or midweek games. dunno why but cup games seem more dramatic over the radio.

even when our game wasn't on, the anticipation when they said "there's been a goal at Highbury..." and they'd cut to it, it would kill you. you'd strain to listen to hear who was on the ball and where.

Most streams I use are total toilet so I have 5Live on too. Wish they would employ some pundits with a functional level of intelligence though.

Didn't expect Alexis to play any part. Interesting to see who plays upfront out of him, Joel and Podolski.

Hayden is highly rated at the club. Yet another young English talent at Arsenal, quality.

Chambers starting is the most stupid move.

That is our current RB and only CB cover.

Absolute madness.
