I remember our greatest ever season as the Invincibles - we lost 1-0 at Peterborough in pre season and there was uproar about lack of signings after tossing the league away the seaon before. In other years we've bossed pre-season and come out of the traps like limpdicks (1-3 at home to Villa a classic example)
We know these cockwombles will be in our faces. They royally fucked us over last season - our pussies couldn't handle the heat and promptly folded after conceding first.
A sign of whether there's any leadership in the squad should that happen again.

Although only one match I think this game tonight is massive as it will set an important tone for the season.
Lose and it could well be more of the same as last season.
Win and suddenly top 4 might need to be considered.
Personally I think we will get a draw which will probably be viewed as a decent result by both clubs
Feel even more nervous that we have actually had a solid pre season , made good signings and seem ready for the opening day for once.
There is an expectation that we will start the season strong but we all know how Arsenal can let us down time and time again.

Cheers mate! Became a first time dad last year so been pretty full on with the wee fella and work etc but absolutely buzzing the football is back!
Just think for once the club have recruited well with some premier league proven title winning talent with hopefully that winning character we desperately lacked last year as Newcastle away proved when the occasion got to many of them!
Would like to think the team won’t get caught out yet again on the first day of the season as we have for years now. Good pre season , players recruited nice and early. There is really no excuse now.
It’s literally over to Arteta and the players to go and make it happen.

I'm fucking up for this. Friday night, first game of the season, us against the world as always. I've knocked back a G&T and already had a few glasses of wine. I fucking hate Crystal Palace and it's about time we absolutely fucking thrashed them. Come on, you Gunners.
