How long before South Yorkshire police get the blame?
Or if all else fails i hear loris karius has some room left to take some more blame on, you’ll never walk alone has to be one of the cringiest sayings still allowed to go unchallenged.

Compare that to the view on our dealings with Mr Partey.

Is that the You'll Never Walk Alone that was first heard at a football ground in in 1958 sang by Manchester United supporters in honour of those who died in Munich? It didn't become a Liverpool thing until Gerry Marsden recorded it in the 60s... It was sung by all fans including Manchester United up to the 80s ..Probably sung on the Kops at Ellend Road, Oakwell and Barnsley to name a few...

"You'll Never Walk Alone" originated in the 1945 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical "Carousel"

I think (could be wrong!?) But in Football / Sporting terms it was first used as a 'chant' by fans of (Glasgow) Celtic and as does happen with songs & chants was borrowed by English teams, but it was the scousers who stole it (now there's a surprise) and claimed it as theirs. But it was sung / chanted by the supporters of other teams / clubs well before the scousers claimed dibs on it.

On a more serious & heartfelt note... You gotta feel for his Mother & Father having lost Both Sons in the same accident.

Some on here :rubchin: critical that Arsenal might be holding back on confirming any transfer dealings out of respect for the scousers.
I would say it is more to do with respect for the two people who died and their families.
If it is true then it merely confirms that Arsenal are a class act.

Arnie Slot has called on Liverpool fans to look after each other. I may be a miserable cruel old b**tard , but that is too much...way too much.

Has he really? Unbelievable.

I don't want to sound as though I'm weaponising a tragedy, but it appears that Slot is earning his stripes as a "scouser".
That what happens when you manage there now. Even after you leave you have to remain one of them if you don't want to "walk alone" You have to refuse to talk to the Sun, grieve and display outrage over every real or perceived slight they suffer, and join in the memorial service every year for Hillsborough, no matter where you are in the world.

I remember a few years ago, Carragher said, that like WW2, the Hillsborough tragedy should be taught in schools.

DO NOT GO TO THE GAME IF YOU DON'T HAVE A TICKET!!

There,end of lesson.
Did Carragher want the Heysel tragedy taught in schools too ?

Wearing T shirts supporting a racist should also be on the curriculum.

I seen someone online the other day(it may well have been one of the jibbering arseholes from AFTV) saying that Liverpool as a club had been through so much tragedy and that is what makes them a unique fanbase..in that they all come together through adverse times..A fan base like no other he called them..

This thread is about two tragic deaths and it should be about that only. Unfortunately the absolute cringe factor involving that club , their supporters and the media has brought out the loathing in us for for all three.

That's exactly right.....parents have lost both their sons, a wife has lost her husband and kids have lost their father. The rest is theatre, with Liverpool fans hijacking the tragedy and once again making it about them. Their pain, their grief, the unfairness of it all.....theatrics, nothing more.

This is just the beginning, the opening day of the season is going to start with a minutes silence, black armbands, some kind of tribute and it will be all about them. Poor, poor them......odious club with absolutely zero self awareness.

For all our crying and whinging about our fixtures for the start of the coming season, we should be thanking our lucky stars that we wont be the victims first home game next season cos that will be a cringefest extravaganza :ewwwww: :ewwwww: Can you imagine the crap that the poor bournemouth fans will have to endure on that friday night, and especially when there is no other game on that night so they will have the spotlight all to themselves ?? Unless the c.unts go behind in the game I wont even turn on sky that night - I actually looked to see if there was league of Ireland game I could go to that night just to get away from the bullshit hype, but doesnt seem like there are any games on that night

I'm going to move this into the basement. We've given it a respectful amount of time on the front page of the forum, but after all, the poor chap was not an Arsenal player.
